interesting differences there
The lower rear wishbones, are they a special GT4 part or just normal 2-11?
The lower rears are modified parts made for the 2-11 GT4’s.
The drive shaft from the Sadev gearbox fouls the cross bar on the n/s with the STD lower wishbones. For whatever reason (probably because the gt4’s were all on slicks), not only did they move the cross bar to clear the drive shaft they also felt the need to increase the size of the tube and add extra plate bracing to strengthen it.
I would have quite happily used STD items, just that I had a spare set of the GT4 parts on the shelf so thought it silly not to use them.
That went better than expected (almost!!)
Fantastic piece of work - didn’t realise that the rear stays on the rollcage were bolt in.
Very nice, keep 'em coming

Back of the net!
“I know lying is wrong, but if the elephant man came in now in a blouse with some make up on, and said “how do I look?” Would you say, bearing in mind he’s depressed and has respiratory problems, would you say “go and take that blusher off you mis-shapened elephant tranny”? No. You’d say “You look nice John””
Brilliant
Look there’s Dan…lol I could do this all night…be stopping now. Back to Goldblinger and his tungsten tipped nails…
Gav are you looking at a MoTec set up as well? Looks excellent although I’m not sure of prices…
MoTec dont know the meaning of the word cheap! They only do expensive!!!
Yeah and the Ozzie dollar is now only 1.48 to the UKP … which maybe doesnt help a lot …
Simple answer no, I’ve not looked at anything like that tbh.
Again, it’s very much a case of making the best use of as many of the parts I have acquired over the years, most of which owe me little or nothing either through begging, stealing, borrowing or swapping for them. If I’m going to spend any money I’d much rather spend it on the parts I don’t have and will need to complete the build. When I say complete, the main objective at this stage is to get it on its wheels and up and running asap. I can’t have it sitting there for the next 2 years continually spending money and don’t see anything back from it. Nice bits like that can come later, if at all…
To begin with I will be using all oem electronics. I have a 2-11 wiring loom, ecu and black stack here which means I can run all the latest Lotus codes and keep the traction control etc intact. It’s easy, I know it all works and i can get help from a multitude of places should i have any problems with the install. It just takes all the headache out of it at this stage.
Is a gold firewall the new black wishbones?
