Test drive in the V6

So no visors, then?

white or yellow for me…no orange this time :stuck_out_tongue:

My Bro is in London now, and he has told me yesterday that new Exige is for sale in Lotus Shop in the center of London with 10% discount

I drove it Saturday, fuuny enough exactly 5 yrs to the day from when i picked the 2-11 up from the dealers…

If i had the dough i would have placed an order there and then, its a proper hooligans car, lots of power, very easy to drive, and sounds great. I got straight into it, every bit how a lotus should be. Also drove the ips evora (perhaps when im pushing 50…)

Can you remember that far back, Yorkie?

I certainly can’t!

I aint that far away myself, soon be here the rate the last 5 have gone… Let’s say 60 then!!

How did you find the speed the IPS shifted Gav? I thought it was too slow.

Down shift was nice with the throttle blip it gave, upshift like you say too slow. Not for me but thanks for the go anyway. Really do want a V6 though mind…

Me too - not even seen one, let alone driven one, but if I had a spare 60k I wouldn’t hesitate…

Gav I agree with that a proper wild car but not at that price

I dunno, price for price what else does 55k buy you these days?? Lets put it in scale -

I think they will be a cracking second hand buy. That is if they manage to sell enough new ones, for there to be a decent amount of second hand ones.

I must say these are my thoughts, I keep looking at these to re spark my mojo but I just cant justify or afford one at the moment. However I keep hoping that given twelve months some lightly used examples might hit the market at the 40k mark… Then I might twitch.

This is becoming the SELOC dilemma…

Evryone (mostly) likes the cars but expect 20K off list. Lets hope it doesn’t become the Lotus dilemma or they’ll be finished :astonished:

I said the same thing about the 2-11 when it was first announced.

even now they are still going for 30k when they were only 40 new and some are pushing 5 yrs old… pleased i didnt wait!!

Like i said, what else does 55k buy you these days in the sports car world? Yes youll get a sporty but mass produced bmw/audi/porsche new, if thats you bag then great but i still think its good money for what your getting.

Fair comments Gav.

i doubt theres any similar performance for v6 exige money

I’ve done enough money on new cars. For 55k I’d do an M5, a trailer and Marc’s R11 and some change,…job jobbed all bases covered :sunglasses:

I agree with Ben, buying new is a bit of a nightmare, especially if you don’t keep them for many years.

There are a few 997 GT3’s on PH for 48k
