S1 for sale .....gulp

Jeez that looks a bit rough, who’s monster garage 35 ? is it the uk lotus centre of France, lol

A f****** garage ^^

That’s nasty but I’m actually having a tougher time dealing with the purple :eh:

For a car that is sold the Swiss S1 is still for sale…not sold then?

My Sport190 Elise was in deep purple, loved that colour

Don’t know if it’s really sold or not. At least the guy told me it’s sold. Maybe he don’t want to sell it in Switzerland because he hopes to get a better price in UK?

i think a french owner have buy this exige s1

same color and mileage

Yes, a french owner have buy this exige, but he work in switzerland (so no taxes added) and he said the price on Pistonheads was not the good asking one (the previous owner don’t convert the swiss franc and put directly in pound, so the good asking price was arround 45k£).

So why is the ad still live on Pistonheads if the car’s sold?

All spin and waffle

Maybe because the old owner forget to disactivate, and at 55k£, I think he don’t have lot of phone call for his exige :sunglasses:

And another Exige S1 for sale (in Italy):

I think it will take a while to sell the car at € 72,000.- Gulp!

Hell fire!

Maybe Italian Lira in anticipation of Itexit! :lolno:

I don’t think the £50k Exige is that far off. I don’t blame them for a bit of speculation, he can only sell it once. Going to be interesting to see what price the next one is for sale at in the U.K. Low mileage I would be guessing £40k+

That’s a bit silly. It does move them from cars to use to investments, which is not what was ever intended. … says he with his S1 under a cover in the garage.

It was just a colour not many liked so hard to sell

What colour?

Prices are moving north because they are not readily available.

Basic supply/demand market.

I liked orange in the day but of late am not so keen. I can’t pinpoint why but maybe because it was so hi-fashion and now not so with it. Did they do Scandall Green S1’s? I’d like one in that but am happy with my laser blue…

Water finds its own level and the S1 is magnificent. Far better than I could have imagined. I think they are deffo a niche machine but I can’t think of one machine that delivers like an S1 on it’s original VHPD. The VHPD is in my eyes an intrinsic part of the S1. It’s not perfect but what is?!! It gives it great character!

Maybe a 1991 5 GTTurbo! Now they were a car with spirit and soul!

And made of cheese

Come again?!!

The gordini 1400 engine in the GTT was pretty much indestructible. Could take massive boost if fueled right with decent intercooling. Electrics a bit dicky and shell metal a bit thin but all up they were abused by yobs from day 1. Not a Golf GTI I concede.

The engine in the GTT could take leagues more abuse than the VHPD motor in the S1 which what I’ve read were crapping out on the track in their day when new on a daily basis. Not an engine I would hammer relentlessly racing IMPHO. Overtuned and thus on the edge.

I like it though!!

Sorry my fault, not sure how I managed to post a reply to a question about the aqua car from the first page thinking it was the latest post :unamused: moving on lol.
