The silver one that was advertised on pistonheads at £35k before Christmas was on for 6 weeks without a sale until the advert expired, it was a 2 owner car, standard, 18,000 mls with the right options, I bought it when it was re-advertised for less than £35k in January
Seeing that sold Kurt who is a member on here thought his must then be worth £40k so advertised it for that figure but it didn’t sell, obviously this guy with the green one sees that and thinks, mine has done less mls it must be worth £55k !!
Anyone can advertise for whatever figure they like but its the actual sold figure that counts, does anyone on here know what the most expensive one sold for in the last year ?
I don’t know he really sold the car, but that’s what he told me.
I live in Switzerland and was looking for an S1 (bought one last Friday ) I had a look at this car a week ago and offered him around 40’000£. Two days later he told me the car is sold. I was surprised he didn’t ask me to rise my offer, so I asked him for how much he sold it. He told me someone from England bought it for 55’000£. Maybe he lied to me, but it’s not for sale anymore here in Switzerland.
I know of currently 5 Exige S1 for sale on different internet sites in continental Europe.
The one on mobile.de in Germany which KR200 mentioned above:
2001, 58000km, LHD, New Aluminium, 50000 €
One on autoscout24.nl in the Netherlands:
2000, 40000km, LHD, Titanium, 50000 €
And three more in France on leboncoin.fr:
2000, 27000km, RHD, New Aluminium, 40000 €
2000, 47500km, LHD, Deep Purple, 46000 €
2001, 38000km, LHD, Titanium, 50000 €
To my surprise there are no more S1s offered in Switzerland.
I wonder how big is the impact of the car’s colour on the price. Most of the offered cars seems to be non-bright colours. As the Exige S1 becoming more and more a collectors car it is not
just a question of adding the cost of the respray in the buyers favourite colour to the price. Changing the factory delivered colour makes a car less attractive for a collector.
