Ongoing Elige/Exise build (THIS WINTERS STUFF ADDED)

That damper in the last pic looks ace , but the bottom bolt looks a tad rusty !

canā€™t wait to see it at Anglesey, looks really nice

Here are a few piccies taken earlier today
Front clam fitted, just needs the splitter and the access panels fitting and the front is finished

Just before we fitted the new wheels and took it of the ramp

I think this filter will be big enoughā€¦

Not quite finish here but you can see the gearbox cooler and the charge cooler pump. Thats a 2.9 pulley but we will be also testing and mapping for a 2.8

Not the best photograpy but heres a side view showing that the rear still needs a little work

On the picture showing the air filter, the pointy bit of the bodywork comes very close. Iā€™ve cut mine back as I suspect it may foul

Looking good , what charge cooler is that , where does the MAF sensor go on the intake and who did your painting ? The finish looks good

Rounded it off and there is about 25 mm clearance

Thatā€™s a nice carbon tube, I could only find aluminium when I was searching. No need for a MAF here.

The carbon pipe looks like its from the VIS kit with a different filter , got one sat in my garage I keep meaning to put back on.

Not really sure who made it. It was fitted to a car i broke for parts, its one of those things that i had lying around so i used its. Cheapest bit on the car!!!

Lol, yeah i used a few bits lying around as wellā€¦

Looks a bit like my Hoover tube

Nice arch liners Dave. Got any spare ones kicking about?

Thatā€™s a bonus then , I think the kits Ā£250 .

Looking about finished mateā€¦ We will see it at anglesye

Thats the plan Gav, Just not sure when we can get the mapping done

Might have a couple from an Elise if that helps?

No MAF needed!! Its a PWR barrel charge cooler.
Mate who owns a bodyshop did the paint work. As he puts it ā€˜just a quick flat and paintā€™ but I think its a fabulous job, his main business is vintage car restoration, he quite often has 1920-1930 bentleys etc in the place.

It looks like a nice neat unit , itā€™s the first barrel type one I have seen fitted on an Exige apart from the Lotus sport GT3s .

Thanks Dave, I need Exige fronts but if you have rear OS ?

Will give you a bell mate

Looks like Lotus have stolen the idea for the new V6 Exige that Gav is getting!!!
