Ongoing Elige/Exise build (THIS WINTERS STUFF ADDED)

Over the last year or so I have been putting togather a road/trackday toy.
Its based on a 2005 111r that now has a 2007 Exige engine, along with all manner of bits from the stock shelves.
It today spluttered into life, at long last
Yipppeeee…

And before you start Pesky yes I know its about time and all that!!!

I’ve just drunk a pint of gravy to recover from the shock!

Dont drink all the gravy as i need some for the gearbox!

Pictures please

The sun has got it’s hat on
Hip hip hip hooray
The sun has got it’s hat on and its coming out to play.

Stick a piccy up then Dave!

Not a lot to see really rolling chassis with painted sills and a really heavy carbon roof (yes i can spell it this time)

All the money has gone into parts that you cant really see!!!
Baffled sump, Light flywheel, Exedy race clutch, ProAlloy tank,Nitron three ways, Nitron inner bearings and toe links, Floating discs front and rear with 4pots,TD1.4 wheels and R888’S,Quick rack,2-11 steering arms and top suspension arms, modified uprights for more neg camber,JSR gear box oil cooler,Catch cans, Hewland dog box and lsd and my own cobbled togather charge cooler system.(Not yet finished so I fitted the standard interwarmer to get it running)
Its currently on a cup260 ECU with 550 injectors, ready for the JSR ECU and smaller pulley. Plan is to replace the SC at a later date with something a bit bigger
Should be fun when finished…
Trying to make it look reasonably standard from a few feet away but pretty nice under the skin, Just hope it all works properly…
Will take a few piccies in the morning if i get chance

^^^ all very nice!!

You need to have it all finished before i get mine done mind…

Not even going to try and keep up with you!!!

Not a lot to see really…
Have you seen the other build threads?! A rolling chassis is Exige porn (to some, ahem).

Ian

We need pictures

My favorite shot!!

Will be fitting this between dyno runs!!!

But this needs fitting to the gearbox before

As you can see here lots of new shiny parts have been used.
2-11 top suspension and steering arms,
Refurbed lower wishbone (cant show the nitron inner bearings),
308mm Alcons on floating bells with AP 4 pots,
New TD1.4 and R888,
Lotus motorsport ARB,
You can also see the charge cooler pre rad pipes!! Yes its pro alloy but specially made for me, Its 32mm thick and the same size as the main cooling rad (Bloody big) I had to remove the AC to get it to fit (very very tight on space in there!!!

Not the best shot but I think its going to look really nice in white with the carbon in the centre of the roof visible.

With the 2-11 suspension components, ride heights will be 100/110mm Head lights have been modified to suit!!
The grey fergy in the back ground isnt for sale!!!

I just love these disc bells!!

I even managed to get them fitted to the rear…
My favorite shot!!

Oooooo that works

It does indeed…Splat! :sunglasses:

The roof panel came out really well Dave, was it just a polish needed?
