I’d love to see a quote for a genuine 450bhp… it’s not as simple as bolt on a supercharger and ECU. You would need 1000’s for that as well as upping the fuel pressure and you’d need to keep it stable above 8500rpm. It’s a believable number but there’s a lot more cost and effort than bolt on bits.
I’m sure it’s not cheap!
Partly why I’ve not researched it further presently.
Nonetheless, I was with one of the SSC guys when he came over to TDI to tune my ECU, it wasn’t said as a brag, rather matter of factly and I have no reason to doubt him.
They offer different pulley sizes depending on engine build spec like compression ratio etc, seem to be on the ball, just waiting more information
Hopefully the car will be driveable after this weekend ( ish). Will still needs clams fitting but the pluming and electrickery will be finished.
R/Road session looming very very soon. I promose to post a piccie when it moves under its own steam (I hope not literally)
Syvecs connected today and it runs… Spits a few flames with a blip of the throttle. Made me giggle
Even without the clams on Dave it is looking good, especially the charge cooler
Thanks Craig
I’ll get some more stuff ready to show you when you collect your 240r rims!!!
It finally moves under its own steam!!!
Charge cooler all piped up and filled with coolant, gearbox cooler pump working.
So a bit of a tidy up on the cables hoses and wiring and a test around the yard hopefully later today.
Once its out side I will take a couple of Photographs with the clams off so you can see some of the details
Really very very giddy now
Excellento, Mr Garthwaite
Fair play to Dave and John!!!
Pictures pronto Dave!
Stop teasing us!!! Pictures mate… I am sure it is very cool!!!
Front suspension etc, before the Charge cooler piping was installed
This was fitted a few weeks ago
This is inside the gearbox
This was about 3 months ago when it came back from the paintshop, as you can see it still needed the dash installing , along with a few other bits and pieces
Now we’re talking
Im also quite please with where the canisters are for the front Nitron NTR46 3ways, Not decided on the where the rears will go as yet!!
Charge cooler and pipework, Still need to make the mounting bracket…Another job to add to the ever growing list
And that very nice exhaust in place
Here is the front clam in place, its better than
leaving it sat on the floor
Here is the very very latest in damper technology, Im hoping to get then set up before Anglesey!! May be a little on the stiff side but Im sure they will bed in
Looks GREAT!!!
It is going to be bloody fab… hope you can get to Anglesey now!
That is a LOT of work mate… well done!
Thanks Guys
I have to say Anglesey is looking more promising each day and a real possibility now!
The biggest hurdle now is the rolling road session…
I can say with certainty that Anglesey would 100% not be possible without the help of John
THANKS MATE
I will add some more upto date piccies later once the car has been around the yard a few times!!
One very very important job before the piccies is the fitting of a new set of wheels
