As the post in the link, I am really happy with mine, mine has the 260 map installed but I cant see there being much difference really. It really does feel much quicker than before and I dont dare to find out at which point it stops pulling.

i looked into with lotus, and apparently i have already had the upgrade only brought my car in oct, and i remember the guy saying about this and had all paper work, and match it with on here and lotus and what i had. unforuntliy i cant comment difference between 220bhp and the new horses but can say its quick lol like everyone elses on here lol
Picked mine up from Chris Neils today after upgrade and the difference from when I left it there a week ago is unbeliveable. All serviced too with nice graph showing 266.7 hp

Very interested in getting this done
Where is the 266.7 being measured flywheel or wheels and have you remained with standard exhaust?
cheers
Is at fly wheel. Pretty graph which means bugger all to me but Paul at CN’s was impressed. 266.7 hp & 177.7 lbft torque.
Has quicksilver exhaust.
Hope this helps
Err, it’s calculated as at the flywheel* Nice all the same, good news, Steve
cheers 6970k and Mr Pesky
reason for asking is that there is a 260 BHP limit at the wheels for Lotus Europe cup racing so dont want to invest in a mod that may prohibit me from competing in the future

Lovin it
I recently had the 250 upgrade done at CN’s (from 220) and it certainly is fruitier after 4.5k revs, havnt had it dynod but can definately feel the difference.im now being tempted into the 260 remap as i already have the uprated injectors and fuel pump.hmmmmmm…
Spoke to Paul this morning and he’s looking into whether or not these mods will invalidate any remaining warranty by Lotus. His initial thoughts are that any work (even Lotus fitted parts) will invalidate the warranty should the engine or gearbox go bang. Bit of a shame really as I was considering going down this route myself on my new car. Also from what I’ve read you’ll get bigger gains from a custom map, etc with the work done by an independant garage and if you’re going to bin your warranty anyway it’s a no brainer.
All maps/tables on a manufactuer’s ECU will be conservative, there’s plenty to be gained from adjusting the % margins on ignition timing, fuelling, torque etc etc.
However, If I were to design a manifold/header for an n/a motor with a 240bhp output, I’d be looking at a primary dia of minimum 1 3/4" - that’s what I started with on the supercharged design - and quickly went up to 1 7/8"dia!
With these re-mapped installs, we’re now looking at 240-260bhp breathing through a 1 1/2"dia primary - that motor is being worked VERY hard to pump that air. Owners with the big 4-1 installed all noticed a drop in operating temps. Lotus use the same manifold for the n/a AND the supercharged motor - although they do remove the splitter in the secondary pipe, so at least they acknowledge a 4-1 layout is needed on a supercharged install!
Not a problem if your car is already out of warranty!
Mine has the 260 and its a good chunk faster than before, I spoke to Paul yesterday and they had just done their first 260 (after mine) and he said it flew by comparison to the standard car (they could not really drive mine as it was raining all the time.
They also stuck it on the local dyno at it showed 266bhp and no I dont know AIT’s AFR’s APM’s OMQ’s or PZY’s , its just what he told me yesterday. I’m not really a lover dynos but it shows they must be ball park where they say they should be.

From the stock 220 or did you already have the 250 upgrade?
220 before
It is mine that Boothy refers too making 266. Was 220 before
Have you driven it in anger yet mate? How are you finding it?
