btw Jonny, what bhp increase are you expecting when the tuning is done?
4 or 5 I think he is hoping to achieve.
I would love to see 210-215 bhp !
Yep that’s it Joel, about right but with the stage 3 cams a manic lift through to 8750. 220 would be nice, but I need to be realistic…
Edit to say, I was hoping for 9k but it seems to fall off a cliff before then and every little will help keep it reliable…I hope lol. Anyway it’s nothing new, just new to an Exige. I’m going to keep my original engine and ECU btw just in case.
@hubs?
I’ll pop it on a US dyno lol

You should be good for at least 800 then mate
Have you considered resolving fuel starvation ?
I was giving it thought tbh.
Have you had fuel starvation issues John?
I have had fuel starvation on many occasions already. In both of my Elises and also now in my 2-11…
I know from reading that ProAlloy baffled tank doesn’t solve the problem completely, unfortunately.
How good are swirl tanks ?
Only had problems when the tank was less than a quarter full. Simple solution was to keep it topped up.
I can vouch that Mr.Ufo produces quite a tad of lateral G !
Yes, I also experience fuel stavation only in the lowest quarter, but it’s a design flaw nevertheless…
That has always been my fix to this problem too. Plus it doesn’t cost anything.
agreed, for racing then yes it would need to be sorted but for td’s then just take an extra can of fuel with you.
why add a load more complexity?
No I haven’t tbh but haven’t changed the fuel tank yet so was thinking about that when the engine was out. I do tend to keep the tank topped up.
Have you seen these lithium batteries for carbon sweetness. A bit pricey but at just 3.5 kg not bad.
What are you doing ecu mapping wise for the mods, if ya don’t mind me asking?
Very nice!
Well I’m taking my car apart body wise in the next week or so. Then getting some poor ex-cockney to help take the engine out and gearbox off. I say that as I’m going to buy a 111R and transfer the ECU, exhaust, induction etc over to that giving myself more time to complete the build. The ECU I’ll either use the 111R’s or see Stephen at Track Club. That’s a plan without asking the usual suspects for advice…
What size turbo you going for Mr,Fox??
