S1 still looks the best
I think it looks like crap… Why graft the shitty parts of the Exige, straight roof to side window shitty undersized side scoops on to an Evora and then come up with the worlds worst rear end…You still couldn’t get enough rubber under those arches.
Total FAIL
The R light pod is lovely though…
No roof scoop? 10 bet that an S2 Exige roof fits straight on
Whos going to be the first to walk into a dealer with one and try it!
I have my name down for a drive, local dealer is a short walk from my gaff.
The most offputting part for me is cabin space. For the money I’d want it to be a bit more spacious. Hopefully access and egress will be easier than the S1/S2 Exiges.
Have to say it doesn’t look “Sherman friendly” Tim
Lard arse! And I don’t mean Sherman
Rear end looks too kit car like for the price, and the ‘bumper’ is totally out of character with the rest of the lines of the car.
Pity, with a better rear I could imagine it being a success, but like this… doubtful.
Should have looked more like a bac mono, now that looks sweeeeet

Cheers Pesky, those are better pics.

You could get into/out of your S1, so what’s changed?
I like it and if I was in the market for a 50k+ toy car then I’d be tempted as I always like something a bit different.
I think the roof scoop is a fundamental exige signature though and its a real shame that its been deleted.
Still prefer my S1 though,…I’ll stick.
Well I really don’t like it, I have had a day to think and I hoped it would grow on me but thus far I think its very week.
The roof really spoils it IMHO, a 2004 elise hard top? WTF…
And the rally car has an exige cup roof clearly not connected to anything… whats the point?
Sadly I feel the chassis has had its day, it looks dated and somewhat like a kit car cobbled together from bits of elise/europa and with very little exige.
If thats the best donna kebab can do then bring back Julian Thomson.
If I change mine it will be for a evora, thats the only car I quite fancy atm.

If is Evora then will be a GTE for me
The rear end is to Kim Kardashian and not enough Kylie I won’t be buying
Oh and I bet designer told them to put the cup roof on the rally car as we complained so much
I think its going to be the vista version of the brand and we will have to wait ages for what we really want, although I assume this is a stop gap while the new range of lotus’s are developed. Leaves an opening for the 4c. I have the itch to change, waited, now I’m thinking GTR, 911 but not this, cross hatch plastic covers, bland mid section styling. Wheres the aggressive look that made an exige stand out.
Ive never considered an evora, but why am i now, sad day for the model.
Seems like a proper Lotus too me: Half on here hate it and the other half love it
I deffo fancy a go in one!!
Well I slept on it and I still can’t get on with it
I really think the lack of a roof scoop kills the design as the car looks to long and squashed in profile.
They clearly think a scoop makes the car look more agressive as they stuck one on the rally car but having it just finish like that… what are they thinking.
I also do not get the show car design, it just does not do the car any favours.
Also all of the BS fed out to people like Bosch calling it the ‘widow maker’, the stats are good but nothing more. Its not really setting a new bench mark in performance.
