i like it in the moving shot
Hideous.
Not sure about the rear! I was at Hethel the other day and saw the pre-production car for the road-going Evora GTE and have to say it looked amazing, and i’m not a fan of the standard Evora (in the looks department).
notice the number plate… guess this will be same car as in the highgear vid on page 4
Front splitter looks very “aftermarket”, but I like the wire meshing and front bumper area design. Overall, still think it looks tame and boring.
Rear wing just looks wrong.
Look forward to seeing it without camo though
It’s not wire mesh, but plastic. I did all the grilles/vents on this car (3D CAD for injection moulding).
Here it is:
and, No, I’m not buying
i think there is something missing from this exige…
roof scoop…
At least you can see out of the back of it now, but 55k isn’t cheap
Agreed - not agressive enough for me . Reminds me of the same initial thoughts I had on the new Macca - too smooth not enough feature details.
Also the claimed weight of 1080kg is a bit lardy - maybe Jonnyfox could get that under a ton with some fiddling
I think it’s aiming away from the trackday market and into the small GT catagory with Cayman’s etc
I love the look of the front, but am unsure about the back. The rear looks a bit low rent, like a noble in my eyes. I also think the side vents look to small.
Still cant also believe its got shitty metro wing mirrors. For 55k I wouldn’t want to be manually adjusting my mirrors.
I agree with Chris, they are aiming at Caymens and stuff. To be fair I think its got it licked on the looks front, but as ever with a Lotus, how well will it be screwed together???
Is it supercharged??
Can you get it with any number or just a 3 ?
What is that all about … did they miss the 5 and its actually called Herbie or what ?
No roof scoop? 10 bet that an S2 Exige roof fits straight on
Whos going to be the first to walk into a dealer with one and try it!

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!
Well, I like it a lot, & would chose it over ANY Porsche (specced below a GTRS), R8 etc.
Unfortunately, way, way out of my price league, so I’ll have to keep me S1
I quite like the front end, but the rear does resemble an M400 - not a pretty behind at all!
At 350bhp, the bhp/tonne is basically the same as MK2 300bhp exige s. I guess the benefit of the evora engine is it will probably be capable of 400+ and bags of torque which will make it one fast car indeed once tweaked!!
Sounds like it could be screwed together better and I quite like the sound of it been more of a tourer. Afterall, Id buy something like a 2-11 if I wanted a pure track car.
I thought I might be tempted, but cant bring myself to spend 55k on something that has the same chassis, probably no quicker and just as unrefined as my current Exige…maybe when prices drop to around 35k I’ll consider one.
I was really looking forward to this and am quite gutted about the outcome just not mean enough for me, agreed on the side scoops as with the car being stretched they need to be bigger, also as mentioned Metro mirros lol, and no roof scoop
Glad they have found an engine for the elise tho.
I like the front and profile views of it but the rear is not quite there yet.

I’d say so, although you’d hope a modder would connect the rear of the scoop to something…
Think the S2 looks better
Looks like a 6R4 light pod too.
