Looks stunning that, pretty much factory.
Good work!

Second that. Would love to have one - what would it take?
fortunately my wheel has been correctly modified and as strong if not stronger i would advise not to go anywhere near this monstrosity.
Yeah, that looks like something Beavis and/or Butt-Head might have conjured up…
Been thinking about how to get all the engine bay brackets painted in nice warm conditions, so built a little spray booth, its not pretty but it does the trick
First job was picking the parts up from the shotblasters all nice and fresh
All hung up and warming up, managed to get 35°
Coated with galv primer
Looks like im going to do a bank job but it worked
Great execution!
Great idea, it’s quite annoying with the winter projects as I’ve often got an immobile car for a few months and usually want to be able to paint some bits so usually end up going full Dexter in the utility room instead, but some kind of drop down/temporary spray booth in the garage would be rather useful.
No chance of catching Covid in that kit.
Shiny! Shiny!
Looks great.
The Gearbox is back from been checked over by my gearbox man, Morris. He has checked the bearing and gear sets and said only minimal wear, so a clean bill of health. What he did say was if i get another box he will build me one to whatever spec i want for a few £100.
Some may hate it but i have painted the gearbox casing as i hate the corrosion alloy brings.
Now just awaiting my new clutch kit
Lee, this stuff is epic.
If you ever set up in business, please let me know!
Keep the pics coming…
Good stuff, did you decide on a flywheel?
Going to put my existing one back on, after taking advice and looking at all options i dont want to takeaway any of the road characteristics. I just hope i have not gone too far with the ceramic clutch and i am told this type will be fine for road use and not squeal. However i can just get the a organic plate separately if so desired and swop.
Yeah fair enough. I had a ‘segmented’ clutch (or whatever they’re called) on my Subaru and it was a bit grabby at first but I soon got used to it.
The Extreme clutch went on pretty straightforward and even came with the alignment too.
New bearing too, the old one was shòwing a small amount of wear.
New seals in the slave cylinder and given a coat of paint
All ready to lift in.
Very wasy to lift in and went together well
Now the box is in i can lift the car up in the air
New idler pulley awaiting a new belt.
