Where the hell did you get that from, I’ll swap you for a BMW ECU? I’m in two minds, if you don’t need or want it I’ll buy it off you. My radio isn’t in the best condition, if I could blank off the speakers I’d use it. Then again if I can find a decent facia or new original radio I’d put that in.

What do you think, go OE or keep the little bit of bling… I like it >
I’d say you should keep the ‘bling’. It’s your personal note, looks cool and it’s all tidy executed.
No restoration will ever be able to restore the virginity of an untouched low mileage car.
So better to have some fun and add the mods you like
Pm sent…have you got my bmw ecu, I was looking for it the other day! Emerald make loom adaptors for the S1 Exige these days so it can go in the bin if you don’t want it. I’d stick with stock and verniers.
Keith
Agreed.
The ‘stock’ S1 Exige ECU gives the car so much of it’s character… the very lumpy idle, ‘pop’s and bang’s’ on the over-run and the constant smell of over-fuelling!
The Emerald is brilliant at giving max power, drivability, best economy etc… but is that what the S1 Exige is about!!!
I have Keith. I am keeping the stock ECU but I’ll give you this back anyway, I can’t bin it.
Carpets under the seat? What is this…an S2? lol
I just wish my interior could look that tidy.
Ha ha yea I know. Makes it all that little more cozy
I can recommend an Anderson plug as well as the conditioner socket. Makes jump start a doddle
Looking pretty amazing mate. Well done.
Hey Gav, hope you’re well mate…
So another trip to Allon White’s for some trimming action. Remember this fella…
And the roof lining had seen better days.
Well it’s gone as far as I can take it, so off to Gav at Unit 4 Lotus in the near future.
The front clam was a bit of a phaff as I had to remove it to reposition the doors. No real drama when all said and done. But I’ve got to say, it felt good getting the clam on after three years and 2 months off the car.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed yet, but you’ve sprayed the inside of the lights the wrong colour?
That looks fantastic, good luck with the power up, be careful. It would by tragic if anything spills.
Not sure about the lights, actually I am sure. I’ll post the radio blanking cover as soon as you have sorted them…
Actually, will post tomorrow.
Keith
It’s an easy respray back to orange. I took inspiration from the very beginning from this…

I looked at the pictures over and over again but the longer I took to do this the less I decided to venture from stock. The high gloss black around the lamps looks great in real life matching all the grills and eventually the TMR’s and the black diffuser. The shiny outer silver on the wheels will match the exhaust tip. When it’s finished I think it’ll look mega. If it doesn’t I’ll sell the TMR’s, fit the Rimstocks and the silver anodised diffuser I have spare.
Another none believer
I actually quite like a pair of dark, mysterious, exotic eyes.
I like it
Yay, cheers fellas
Never mind the dark exotic eyes . . what an unbelievable job you’ve done. Almost there . . .
Stunning.
And I like your garage, wish mine was as tidy.
