Jonny's S1 Exige Thread. Again!

Amazing work Jonny. It’s gonna be a stunner!!

I hate You!!! ! thats brilliant  …which museum will it go in!!! you can never drive it …ever.
Well done jonny puts us all to shame.

Lol. Just updating Exiges Rob, not stolen him since the MLOC post. Promise

Cheers fellas, took a while sorting this lot out thanks to Photobucket but it’s now up to date.

It’s getting close

Great work! Looks awesome mate

What coating is that on the 4:2:1 exhaust manifold? Zircotech?

Emotional re-unions indeed… but you are in a much better place now! :sunglasses:

Top job, Jonny. Looks ace  Aren’t you too scared to work on the car without damaging anything?

Do you plan to re-install the resonator valve and use the OEM ECU?

Cheers, Klaus

Hi Klaus. Yes I will use the OEM ECU but I’m not 100% sure about the resonator valve, probably not as I’m told they were removed once the car arrived at the dealers.

 and yes every job is slow and steady…

Engine mount fitted. The first new hydro-mount I had to swap out as it seeped when I lowered the engine. No further problems now though, job done. Lol twice

New one in

Next the heat shield. I used Nimbus Lite as the manifold is ceramic coated. Template in cardboard, fixed at three points. Solid.

Awesome work matey!!

Good work on the pen. Let me know where you get the black vinyl from for the backs of them.

Wow!

Loving it, such attention to detail

Cheers fellas.

Not the best images but trying to do a job a night, doesn’t always work but heater is back in and the latch back on. So a reminder of the bits I had fabricated to get air into the heater…

Battery soon…

This is an American style restoration…even better than when it left the factory…F A N T A S T I C.

can I send my car to you to fix the heater??? …bl~~~y thing is a pain to get at even before figuring why the fan is not working…

Thanks Clive. The AC does make getting to the heater a pain but not impossible buddy.

A few more little jobs done. Rear window and bulkhead finisher panel cleaned, polished and refitted. Charcoal canister back on and lastly tonight the airbox. I received a couple of foam seals from Lotus, both of which were perished so I used a draft excluder I use at work, it’s good stuff.

Pesky just messaged me …
Driver training is what you need Mr.Fantastic Fox …
Seriously tho , stunning restoration.

Can you please hang on to that template mate! Thanks!

And what is the exhaust coated with PLEASE!

I’m really looking forward to 2020, when the car will be for sale. I’ve started saving.

Funny Graeme

Pete sorry you did ask, yes mate no problem if you get the Nimbus sent here I can have my mate Dave fabricate it for you or whatever suits. The coating is ceramic, it’s applied under (US) licence by a company on my industrial estate. Although in just the one colour.
