Friend of mine had an M5 and tracked it, drove it for a few laps at Bedford, I felt guilty after and gave him some cash for rear tyres, it went sideways way to easily!
Awesome looking thing Ben, i do really really like them.
Looks fantastic Ben, mintier than a packet of Fox’s. Catch up soon.
Yep, photo was of Burton Snr and Jnr trackdays the early days
yeah brakes go first
Sorry bud of course, I forgot his first one was a left hooker. I’ll have to bring it over when he’s over at yours…
You’re very aware of the weight when you’re pressing on so I’m not surprised the brakes would give in first. M-Cars never seem that great on brakes…
yeah latest generation Ms now have decent looking brakes, E39 ones are fine for road stuff though
He’s got the car, now get the T shirt:

Nice Obviously not got the artistic touch of an exiges.com original shirt.
Had the car a week now and its seriously growing on me. Perfect for wafting about with a bit of NASCAR when the opportunity arises The old girl likes a drink though…<15mpg around town
I know it’s childish, but a Golf GTi is not sufficiently man enough to argue with 400bhp in a TLGP
Never childish to spank an underling
Saw Ben last night for a quick bevvy and burger. His M5 looks like new it really is that clean.
I think ben really appreciates that the owner ticked the humidor armrest option as he can now waft along whilst enjoying a large cuban.
Like this?
I thought about adding cigar to the end, but I knew someone would not be able to resist putting something on here if I just left it as a large cuban!!!
It’s official; over-engined V8 barge ownership is contagious, keep safe distance if you see me
Still loving wafting around btw,…deserves its place as a performance legend
True dat!!!
I was expecting it to be nice but it’s one of those synergy things (something I love in life!) that is far more than the sum of its parts.
Ben does need to buy a small sustainable forest to offset his guilt though, it’s only marginally better than an Exige on track.
Ian
Ps. Sorry for leaving love messages in your alcantara roof lining, they’re for the car not you
Great to see you Ian, I knew you’d like the '39
…and yeah 15mpg , its a bit on the thirsty side. I actually nearly ran out of petrol on the M3 after I dropped you off
Well if you will try and make your own music with the engine that’s going to happen!
Glad it was only ‘nearly’
waft waft waft waft waft waft rrrrrooooooOOOOOAAAARRRRR waft waft waft waft etc
