Jamie, so what are your intake and discharge temps with you intercooler setup…and can you post a real dyno graph not some some bit of fluf that Bemani hands out…

My, my we are competitive today
Dont have sensors for the temps or a dyno which I can post on here at some point I will get it dynoed in the UK and maybe get some measurments done. What i can say is it goes like nothing else and I am happy

Jamie nothing personal so please don’t take it that way…I just get a little cranky when tuners boast…I would just like to know how they come up with their designe and true HP numbers…It would be nice to compair your tuner setup with my DYI…cheers Frank

Not taken personaly

I do not have the bemani set up but i know a few racers who do.

The regulations in Switzerland are very strict with regard to power, emissions etc. The tuners have to submit their engines for testing and they as companies go through all kinds of checks to be sure the results for both power and emissions etc are maintained. If i had to bet money on any particular tuners engine meeting its figures it would be a german or swiss one as they are so tightly controlled

All that being said I’d still like to see some “real dyno” sheets from all the professionals who charge big bucks for their setups…Hell I remember back in the day droping good money at some speed shop for this and that, telling myself how much faster the car was and then by the time I got home I’d realize that I didn’t get jack…Just my own ego telling me how much faster it was…

Tell me if I’m wrong but these mods are bolt ons not compleat engines…still haven’t seen one real dyno sheet…

Ok boys just in case you’d like to know I’ve gained another 40rwh and 20ft.lbs running with 9.7 psi…up from 6.5 psi.

Brave man not sue that many have pushed the pressure up that much. No internal strengthening? What is that at the crank now?

9.7 psi is still relatively low for a FI setup though? only 0.67 bar. Frank is that about as far as you’d want to take it without lowering the compression?

I have to admit I don’t really know what I’m talking about, but remember uping the boost on my MKIV Supra from .7 to 1.2 bar. The first time it blew the intercooler hoses off it gave me a bit of a scare.

Turbo boost and SC boost are two very different things - SC on the same level of boost as a turbo will ‘work’ the engine more because it runs off the engine while the turbo runs off the zaust gasses.

Bemani do a race engine which requires a full rebuild with strengthened internals produces 300hp and a ton of tourque

Jammie it’s 265rwh= some where near 300 + or - at the crank

Jamie what boost are you running? Any idea how efficient you intercooler is? With my home brew it’s taking out 95F at full boost with only an increase of 15F above ambient at the intake…It dosen’t get any better than this…

I also added two oil catch cans to the cam cover breather…By keeping hot oil vapors out of the intake you cut down on possible detination issues…If you want to see the setup take a peak on www.moremonkey.com supercharging the Elise/Exige , PVC let me know what you think…

Yeah I think I’m done for now…but if it screws up watch out…Now I’ve got to learn how to drive this sucker all over again…

who you tring to kid, you’ll never be done

of course now i’ve moved to las vegas i have less ‘test’ cars available to me for modifications, whos got a 240r cup car in vegas then ? i need 5 mins with your obd ii port

Is that what your tellin the girls on the corner now…Did a little more tunnin yesterday now I’m at 300hp and 197 ft lbs…crank…

Nice work Frank
