How big is an Eaton M62 Blower in the Exige...

Sounds Good Craig !

Which Exhaust was that ?

Do you get any drone at all ???

Got any Static videos of your car on tickover

like this http://www.2bular.com/Ultraexige.wmv

dyno results

242bhp at 8600rpm 161 lb/ft torque 5800rpm

decatted, sports exhaust, standard air induction 98optimax

AF ratio spot on

Graph shows about 194BHP at the wheels, right? 25% correction to arrive at that 242BHP crank figure seems fairly optimistic, 15-17% would be more typical for a mid-engine rear drive car.

ahhh i recognise the ultra anywhere…i should as i was the inaugral customer - it goes on now and again…

here you go…its the arqray… but it really doesnt do it justice as its a crap video camera. Loud as foook–

http://www.rogepost.com/dn/y5pd/CLIP0001.ASF

just blipping it to 2-3000rpm (imagine at 8000rpm )

http://www.rogepost.com/dn/etv0/CLIP0004.ASF

The ultra is a smooth sounding loud exhaust and not for the weak, the arqray is a mental mover fookin head banging nutty thing on crack cocaine and then some.

with both the arqray and ultra single tips there is absolutely no drone, lovely crisp sound inside the cabin…with the arqray there is also a lovely crisp sound 5 or 6 miles away from the cabin.

craig

just spoke to them and they have tuesday if you can make it.
cheers

Craig

My car is only due back from bodyshop early next week after an encounter with Mr Magoo of Bicester so Tuesday is a bit optimistic. I’ll confirm when I get it back if that’s OK?

Rob

no probs mate, let me know

Thought this might be of interest 1 of 2 Cup 240 in Scotland just had a bearing fail on the SC launching the SC - not good I dont think its the first

Also the green 265R all over the news - they claim its an S running a different fuel but it says they have added a 5th injector sounds like a 240 with the timing changed to suite the fuel…

Black one or the white one Jamie? Sounds expensive.

White one in peaces at MMC

It’s not – Lotus seems to know which ones are bad based upon the serial # of the SC – they should be contacting owners with the defective SC. Apparently the factory received several SC’s with a bad bearing from Eaton. Repairs should be covered by Lotus and charged back to Eaton.

Jamie,

Do you know how many miles were on that white one before the SC went bye bye?

Good to know it’s not a design flaw.

Not many the first owner only had it for 2k so max 3k

I spoke to magnason today and was told it’s news to them…After all they supply Lotus…with the blowers…They told me that the MP62 is over built…

still waiting to put a standard s on the rollers at SDC. any takers?
