Out of interest, where are you finding the coloured wiring diagrams? Have the Lotus versions, and can speak Lotus colours, but having them already coloured makes life much easier
Mega!
A service today and new rear boots for the exige over at the super friendly SeriouslyLotus.
Always a pleasure heading over and listening to advice that’s not just theoretically learnt , it’s tried and tested.
I would like to visit/use Seriously Lotus but it’s at least a 4hr roundtrip.
Which reminds me, I keep forgetting to get mine booked in for a service and rear toe links fitted.
Make an effort to join us on Monday 6th May at our open day!
We have a lovely Emira arriving Friday all being well for all to dribble over
Looking allowed, but deffo no touchy
Holy shit Dave!! I know a few clubs like that.
Emira is not her real name BTW!
It’s just over 2h for me. However , there are some upsides.
-
you can create a spot quiz for John and Dave with obscure questions about your Lotus.
-
There’s a really good sandwich shop that does sausage / bacon sammich
-
you will get to drive over the Humber bridge and remind yourself to focus on the road and not the scenery or you will be a part of the scenery
We are doing a proper job and booked hotel in Hull for Sunday night.
I only go because he’s close
We only let you because we would want anyone else to have to put up with you
The car sometimes likes to test my patience.
I am heading over to Spa for the classic in a few weeks.
The car has thrown its toys out of the pram with the IACV and now both rear uprights have decided they dont like their paint to be bonded to the GRP.
On the left upright it had bubbled and cracked on the outside
The other side had a blister in a similar spot.
I have taken these off now and they are away for paint this week.
I was quite fortunate to have a supervisor and mentor whilst working
I have never seen paint failing or bubbling on a spoiler before.
I have also never seen a cat mounted above an engine, you need to de-cat that, the car will run better for it.
Reminds me of my cat-back exhaust on my S2…
Anecdotal evidence seems to suggest cats have a preference for S2 Exiges?
Actual real life facts discovered here on exiges.com
Nice panel delete by the way
Actually lol’d at that
You know the age old problem I have had with my car that I have never really fixed?
The one with the R4 fuse when inserted the dash oddo backlight wont go off?
I found a workaround. Press the up or down switch in the windows!
Strange, right?
Now, I have a replacement part coming - the ignition switch. It should be here today.
I am also due on a boat from Hull to Rotterdam on Thursday so I can goto the Spa Classic.
I can remove fuse R4.
Or do I play jeopardy and shout WATCH THIS and fit the part and hope I dont break anything else.
- Fit the part.
- Dont do it!
What does fuse R4 power? (other than your dashboard’s backlight, lol!)
