Current cars forsale

Looks like B&C car has now sold. Along with the Williams Lotus one…normality resumes just one (private) one on the market, which looks like a great car for someone

What do you guys recon a S1 Exige with a S/C C/C Honda would be worth?

Its got 25k miles
Nitrons/Eibach
AP/Alcon Brakes
Sinclairs did the engine conversion Maidstone did the charge cooler
Light flywheel
Oil cooler
And all the other bits and bobs.

Im just not using it enough but having a hard time putting it up for sale.

Saw one earlier in the year for £40k with more miles…

Is this a good benchmark?

I’ve just asked Will Blackham to value mine for insurance renewal so I’ll let you know…

Yours has to be one of the best if not THE best in the country Ben, will be very interesting to hear what Will thinks. Very tough things to value in my opinion as no two are the same and they are very much ‘heart’ purchases and not ‘head’ ones, no matter how much man maths we all apply.

A standard car is a standard car and a lot easier to value in my opinion.

I agree Sean (of course). I know lots of folk covet the standard cars but as modded car I like to think mine is so well judged as to rank it as one of the nicest. It looks sublime and has pretty devastating performance to match.

Will valued it for insurance purposes at £45k.

That’s a fair value I reckon. A serious buyer would pay that too (not that its for sale) someone wanting that spec of car would know it would cost a shit load more than that to build a car like yours.

 So an original will be that + £ ??

Thanks Ben, yours does look amazing. Im not sure if to sell or refresh it like you did. I have a feeling if i did sell i would regret it.

Given the number of wanted ads, this chap might be crushed in the stampede.

Lovely looking car.

Or Lady… It’s a woman’s car the silver one

I’ve seen the car a few times and it really needs a respray. It’s micro blistered in quite a few places, from what I can read Into the advert I guess she wanted to paint it at some point, having the armourfend kit ready.

Well an offer of £32k should be spot on with a £3k spray job needed. Certainly look a very nice car.

I’d be interested to see how quick this sells. I’m sure someone will buy it but I couldn’t bring myself to pay that for an s1 given what else you can get for the money.

Not sure what else is available for £35k in the same category? With the added benefit of it increasing in value.

Why would you not mention the micro blisters in the advert? Such a waste of time when sellers do this! Travelled many a mile to see a shed of a car that in the ad was immaculate!

Hillman Imp ?

Acquired taste

Don’t get me wrong it’s not rough by any means but I like things to be right and at 35k I’d kind of expect it to be right.
OK without armourfend they pic up stone chips, that’s a given on all cars but little bubbles everywhere would annoy me… Kind of the reason I walked away on the Hoffmans 211 a month ago. Drove 3 hours to see it to find 6/7 star cracks on the front clam from stone impacts and a bad smart repair on the osf wheel arch. If I had known I probably wouldn’t have driven all that way without negotiations on price beforehand.

£35k today - £40k tomorrow  - they are never going down…

Couldn’t agree more.

Wish I had bought one or more when they were in the teens  Such is life

Yeah but loads of cars are going up in value so that’s wouldn’t be a reason to buy an Exige, you could buy all sorts of cars for that.
