Con McL - Very Sad News

You don’t need a physic to hear Con laughing… Steve, Simon & Gav as Ade says you haven’t missed a thing. The warmth from family and friends will stay with me forever. RIP Con, will miss you fella.

[quote=SimonE]…I thought today was going to be soooo difficult, but honestly I can’t believe what a fabulous celebration of Con’s life it turned out to be - the bloke is an absolute legend and obviously touched the lives of so many people.

The service was so positive and the tributes from family and friends so brilliant.

Thanks to Beth, Con’s family, friends and his extended family (aka exiges.com) - Con we will sooo miss you - it has been an honour and priviledge to know you friend

Looking forward to seeing the Black Exige at Anglesey

RIP Con

Couldn’t have put it any better, Simon. What a lovely family, & they all did so well in celebrating Con’s life, & his positive contribution to the lives of so many others.

The reception venue was superb, & it was great to chat with Con’s nearest & dearest - it will be great to see them again in Anglesey.

Had a “slight” (cough!) hangover this morning - thanks for an enjoyable evening with some great company.

Here are a few photos from yesterday…

Some great pictures there Rob.

Really glad I went, it was really nice to meet some of Cons’ family, and it was a very positive rememberance.

As said above, he had a great impact to the people he met. I feel honoured to have met him and share some great times together.

Cool pics, especially the one of everyone around Cons car.

Thanks for posting pictures Rob - any chance of a full resolution one of the mottley crowd around Con’s Exige

Email with pic on it’s way, mate.

Great pics Rob.

Its all been said already, but the day really was a fitting memorial to Con. What a fantastic guy and I think we did him proud.

Its been a reflective day today, all a bit tired and emotional. I’ve had the next generation of exigers to help me though it :

Cheers Rob - I have a Lotus picture wall at home - bit like the Tate, but much classier

Ben - that pic is absolutely mega  - hope you are paying the child labour the going rate

Great pics Rob, likewise could I have a hi res copy of us gathered around Con’s car?

Harvey

Please let me have your email address, ta.

Ha ha, great pic Ben. I caught my daughter tonight going back into the garage after we’d just been in for a Vino visit…key in the door I said “where are you going” … Now she’d been poorly in bed Thursday and hadn’t seen Foxy Angleo at work …“I want to see OUR roof again, it’s great” lol

So with that (Beth, Eddie and all) it’ll be getting the works next week (at a proper paint shop) and staying as is for the foreseeable future

Thanks for the pics Rob, email me please

Oh btw OFFICIAL STUFF Carbon Fibre should now be referred to a Carbon Tat :sunglasses:
and that’s OFFICIAL lol

Very moving .
Didn’t know Con,but I’m sure he would approve of this collection of good friends and fine motors…

Which pic(s) do you want, mate?

What a fantastic tribute to a great guy. To see so many people paying their respects to Con shows just how popular and well thought of he was. He will be sadly missed but he will be remembered always, I’m sure we will all be saying for a long time to come “Do you remember when Con did …” and quoting one of his many story’s or antics.
I’d like to thank Beth and all of Cons family for allowing us all to pay tribute to Con on Friday with the line up of Lotus’ at the hotel with W8 CON taking centre stage, and inviting us to share in the celebration of Con at the church, a very moving and thought provoking service with some amazing tributes from both family and friends.
As the t-shirts will say Con…but not forgotten. Rest in peace mate.
The Edwards.

Unfortunately I couldn’t make it but was thinking of Con and all affected on the day

Great pics and what looks like a great day despite the circumstances

Will get myself a shirt ASAP as it does match my race suit

By the way - who nicked Jonny’s rear wing ??? :astonished: was the same nutter who painted the roof
