Con McL - Very Sad News

A real celebration of Con’s life ! I couldnt be there unfortunately, not sure if someone was getting his own back for the blown up hire car  but some tricks were being played for sure - Thanks Con, an absolute pleasure to have known you

The main image please Rob around Cons car

I wonder how much stick Con would have been getting today following Top Gear last night.

Hammond’s red calipers only cost him 300 quid.

Lotus currently offer a switch to black (from red) at no cost.

I’m sticking with red

Have no fear Ian, Con’s car is sporting a fresh new set of rear red calipers which hopefully shouldn’t turn brown

My pleasure Con :sweet:

I wore my Con shirt while I was skiing a couple of weeks ago. Felt a bit weird actually, wearing it while doing what took him from us.

I have to say I do think about him occasionally at random times.

Always fond memories.

Well done Sean - lovely sentiments. :sunglasses:

I didn’t know Con, but reading through the thread its really touching seeing everyone coming together like that, he was obviously a well liked guy. Very sad

I’m with Sean. Especially as we approach the anniversary of his passing I too have random moments where my thoughts turn to remembering Con…always with a smile.

Genuinely looking forward to seeing Beth and Con’s family again at Anglesey…

Are we having a secret ballot for this years recipient of Con’s Red Caliper Award???

Bloody hell I’ve just been talking about Con not an hour ago having a beer down the road with a friend. A mate of his we know has had a skiing accident in Denver this week, not fatal but sever brain damage sadly.

I also think about Con at random times Sean, its almost a year since you phoned me. He was such a proper nice bloke Mark, his family were a credit to him but I’m sure that worked both ways.

I thought the idea was the current year holder would nominate the next recipient?

Ahhh ok, that sounds much easier to administer! Hopefully John won’t be asleep in his van this time

Hopefully I won’t have driven to Anglesey twice the day before this time!!

Yeah that too  I trust you’re coming along this year John?

Thats the current plan

just did a refresh on my kitchen and moved Con’s order of service that had been sitting on the window sill to look at sometimes, made me smile and be sad at the same time…

I know its daft, But my order of service for Con is tucked behind the pax seat in the Elise. That’s where it slipped as we were getting in the car after the funeral, so that’s were its stayed. He gets to have a ride in a Lotus every day that way
Steve.
