Anglesey Lotus trackday (coastal) 27th sep £175

You’ll be first person I contact when done Wes…

I can’t bite at Sean dude, he does all the work to my car  lol

You can bite at Sean, John does most of the work on your car

John does all the work on his car, so bite away you NA, under powered, over carbon’d, tart!!

I’m reasonably sure he is not that nice

Lol ouch! I’ll just end up getting personal…tell John Tony Woo says hi

I am heading over on Sunday from the Brum area! Planning to go via the A5 and some other NICE twisty fast traffic free Welsh roads.

Anyone else on Sunday wants to make a ‘convoy’???

HT67 is trailering over on Sunday too but he is going via the boring 3 lane stuff!

Anyway, curry etc also sounds like a plan Sunday evening!

Who’s up for all this then!

Cheers,

Pete.

Just wanted to say thanks to the exigers who came along today! I had a cracking day and hope everyone else did too.
Nice to meet everyone and I can finally put a face to uncle pete
Roll on next year as I am already chatting to Jonny about getting us a date in June, most likely a friday. Hoping to have a bit of a joint day with exigers and norlog as I would like to get the GP layout.

Just got home and offloaded the car. Many thanks to boothy for organising a terrific event today. Great to meet up with folks and also meet some new faces.

I hope the lads in the 211 thaw out soon after the drive home.

Thanks to Pete for the ride in your new machine, very nice indeed. Also thanks to Gareth for keeping my car in one piece when it was his turn for hooning it.

would you beleive the passenger in the 2-eleven slept all the way home :astonished:

Is that the same guy who was sleeping in the paddock on the trailor? Not sure how he managed it

that’s him

Just got home after a 200 mile drive! :tired:

GREAT day and had a blast!!! Esp with Harvey and Graham in their bloody fast VHPD’s!!!

Wes was being a dark horse today… took him out and he said how fast my car was and how the new Nitrons were better than his Olins… then proceeded to pass me with those big flappy mud flaps giving me a finger each!!! Nice work mate!!!

Cheers Boothy for organising a great Exige turnout… good to meet you too and you car is the biz!

Really enjoying having an EXige again… but BOY the S2 is BLOODY heavy!!!

Top day dudes!

As the lads have said thanks to Boothy/bookatrack for a awesome day!

Thanks for the ride Pete! Excellent brakes and suspension. I’m not going to mention Rocket eh Pete/Harvey   Time to get mine to Nitron for a re-furb i think.

Looking forward to the next one :sunglasses:

I was only a HELPLESS passenger mate!!!

What a great day, many thanks for organising it Boothy.

Pete despite your handicap of carrying the equivalent two passengers and your 70ltr touring pack fuel tank  you certainly did the S2s proud.

Graham glad you liked my little pirouette at the top of Rocket - marks out of 10?

That makes three visits to Anglesey this year and all three the suns been out, just a shame it is so far away

200 miles is a long way in an Exige… now you see why I have that 70Lt tank mate!

Cheers guys, glad everyone had a good time! Sorry I did not get more chance to mingle, as always the day flew by and between chatting and driving there were not enough hours. :frowning:
Had a really great day though and I am already onto organising another  Looking at a friday in June on either the coastal or the GP depending on the numbers we can get. I have asked for a saturday but Jonny does not think we will get it. Hopefully we can get even more exigers along to that one!

cheers

Boothy

I really enjoyed the Coastal circuit, probably more than the full track. The corkscrew was great fun for lift off oversteer

Boothy, did you actually do any driving on track or were you eating bacon butties all day? We never saw you out there at all.

Pete, I was genuinely impressed with the Nitrons setup on your new mota, it felt really planted. That extra torque with the ‘S’ also means that your not having to bounce it off the limiter all the time.

The great thing about the event was the amount of useful advice that people gave me. With some helpful comments on the setup of the car I solved the morning handling issues. The Kumho V70’s were great once I found a better tyre pressure which is different than for the A048’s. Some cryptic advice about lines also got me thinking and really helped my pace.

Here’s some footage from the in-car muvi minicam.

I was pleased to find out that the Titanium S1 Elise had a Sinclairs Honda in it, phew.

Here’s some later footage with Gareth giving me abuse all the way around, that’s why we need an intercom!

Unfortunately the camera ran out beans in the later session so I didn’t capture mine and Pete’s silly session (or Harvey’s earlier Strictly come Exigeing incident - 10/10). I saw Pete pass the pit lane as I was pulling out…red rag…bull  Well I had to uphold the n/a honours in Jonnyfox’s absence.

I was out loads! I actually managed to go FLAT in quite a few places too
The grey S1 was the only thing other than a caterham that managed to pass me all day. I am guessing I must have just been unlucky and pulled out of the paddock when you guys were at the far side of the circuit.
I did watch you from the pit wall tho wes and you were looking quick

I’m going to watch those vids now

There were a lot of ‘reg rags’ out there Wes!
