Booked and paid.
Top men, only two places left.
Sadly the facy Jonny had to open it up means we do now have a scooby and a ford focus race car on board Still hopefully they will behave.
We’ll just have to give them a flash to get out of the way
Thankfully I kept the Exige in one piece on last weekends rally so I’m still coming to Angelsey. Although I’m missing a front splitter, it was munched on a small depression on the straight at speed, shrapnel everywhere. I doubt I’ll get a new one in time.
If there’s a chance, I fancy a couple of laps passenger ride with one of you boys with an ‘S’ blower fitted to see the difference. Sssh…don’t let Jonnyfox know I’ve even contemplated the thought of fitting a rotary air compression device to my car  We got a bit of a hammering last weekend from the more powerful mkII Escorts so I need a plan.
You can come out with me and teach me how to drive Wes
WTF Wes…
Can’t believe how good your car looks in that pic, Harvey.
Cheers Thommo - I think it is the contrast with the snow of last winter that makes it stand out as opposed to it usually blending in with the tarmac.
Thanks for the kind offer Boothy
Forgive me father Jonnyfox for even considering such a sin
I had a frustrating time last weekend pedalling hard but going backwards down the leaderboard as the stages dried out and the quicker cars got their power down.
I haven’t figured out which way to go yet but I’m in no rush as I won’t be doing much next season due to further family expansion.
Options at the minute are
- Audi - favourite but not so cheap for a good conversion, don’t have time to do it all myself
- VF kit - less changes to the car
- n/a - engine upgrades offer small gains for big bucks plus I need to go for the close ratio box and lower final drive
- just drive it and be satisfied with average results
Right now I’m at number 4!
Apologies for robbing you thread Mr Booth
Wes, fingers crossed if he ever gets it back my mate should have his freshly converted BWR 111r at Anglesey. I am sure he will take you out to see how it goes.
It could be a good option as a start point as its not that heavy and gives approx 230bhp with the power available from uch lower down.
Later on you can add either the VF kit or a CC as its pretty much the same as a Katana and get a safe’ish 270-280bhp hopefully without killing the gearbox. More if you fancy killing gears.

Happy to take you out Wes! Would also love a ride in your beasty too!
Wes you should really go SC. If I have someone sat in my passenger seat it kills the cars performance. Remove the passenger and it’s really quite a nimble little thing
Something I guess you can’t do hey.
Remove the driver and it’s even quicker !!!

So does N/A NOT ROCK anymore mate!
Even the SC is slower with a pax!!! It’s always adding about a 10% weight penality which is HUGE!

There’s more “Talk” with a SC is there not Seriously though two up all the time…or a close ratio gear set so I’ve been told
NA ROCKS and that’s all there is to it now **** off Gay boy [color:#FF0000]s [/color] lol

Although Gareth looks like a ‘featherweight’ navigator he really is a lardy git, he does like his bacon butties before kick off. I’ll have to get an official weigh in for him. As you say it does make a difference to performance with 2 up. One of the hardest things with a navigator on board is changing gear quickly, especially into 2nd, without fondling their knees .
The biggest issue is lack of bottom end low down torque out of the tight and twisty corners. That should be less of an issue at Angelsey next Monday though Maybe it’ll rain to hinder the fast boys.
I’ve just studied those Kaaz close ratio gear kit ratio’s, even with the stock FD they look to be a significant improvement.
Thanks for that Pete, looking forward to seeing your new toy.
NA has NEVER rocked. Jonny knows that, he’s just in denial!!
PMSL!!!
You’re right mate!
(Go on Johnny… BITE!!! )
