Anglesey double header

It’s 50:50 as to whether my car will be ready in time for Anglesey and I’d rather not go all that way half-cocked/untested. So I’m just going to play it safe and make 30th April at Bedford my new target for my first Lotus outing.

As a result, I’m going to cancel my booking for 17th. If I can transfer it to someone else, I’ll get hit with a smaller cancellation charge.

So if anyone is planning to book 17th, please let me know and I’ll hand my baton over to you.

Thanks, Dan

:frowning: I was looking forward to seeing the old girl

I’m in the same boat unfortunately. So nearly there but its not going to be finished in time, or at least if it is I’ll not be comfortable taking it all the way to Wales and thrashing it. Not setting any new targets just yet as the important thing is that is is right from the off.

Care free enjoyment at Spa is now the priority with a few days before to make sure its run in and any issues resolved.

Have a great day lads, I’m sure you will.

Will, shame you are now not able to make it :frowning:

That’s a bummrer will :frowning: was looking forward to trying to keep up with you

What time are things kicking off on Saturday? I’m stopping with my folks in Chester so have a bit of a drive in the morning to contend with. Have persuaded the old man to bring the Aston out for the day so we’re going to take a scenic route home. Anyone any suggestions?

After Angelsey go via Llanberis over the pass then towards Capel Curig. Then a left back towards the A55 via Ogwen or right down to Betewsy Coed but the traffic can be worse that way. There’s lots of fun options, lookout for the Hedlu.

is that sean’s mate

Yeah I know him.

We could carry on south towards Betws-y-Coed actually as my folks live 12 miles south of Chester anyway. Maybe pick up the A5 head across to Oswestry. Good call - thanks! Will keep an eye out for Hedlu, I think I may have heard reference to this particular story from Pesky…

Thanks for the subtle correction of my terrible welsh spelling . Even spell check can’t handle that weird waffle

I only knew because I grew up (whisper it) 5 miles from the Welsh border

Got a refund on my Anglesey ticket minus BaT’s 45 admin fee :frowning:

Dan

45???

Per website:

[color:#3333FF]Refunds and Cancellations
Bookings which are cancelled more than 28 days prior to the event are entitled to a refund minus a 10/10% admin fee (whichever the greater).
Bookings which are cancelled between 7-28 days prior to the event are entitled to a refund minus a 20/20% admin fee (whichever the greater).
Bookings which are cancelled less than 7 days prior to the event are strictly non-refundable, non-transferrable and no credit notes will be issued UNLESS the place can be filled, in which case refunds will be made subject to the above terms.[/color]

Yep, 20% of 200 for the track day and 20 for photos.

Have ‘celebrated’ by spending 660 on an Easy Track silver membership.

5 track days at 132 each including passengers and 2nd driver.

Sadly, I have had to pull out of Anglesey, due to work commitments (Yes, I know I’m currently redundant but I have jumped at the chance of a few shifts with another of Fleet Street’s finest).
I have cancelled with BookaTrack who have very efficiently credited me.
So, there’ll be a place up for grabs on the Saturday if anyone is interested.
Sad to miss out on a much-anticipated trip out in the little beauty.
I hope you all have a great day and look fwd to catching up with(or being passed by) you at another trackday soon.

Gav K, you in?

Aye, it’s a bugger! But it may lead to a new revenue stream . . .
