Anglesey double header

Hi Everyone,

I’m looking at trying to organise taking my ARDS Test for a competition license at Anglesey on the double header weekend. I have spoken to Jonny @ book-a-track and he said it is possible to do it. So if anyone else is interested then please PM me and I can let you have some more details.
Cheers Steve.

Are we allowed to be rolling road blocks during the driving part of your ARDS steve?

Yea. why not, :astonished: would be fun to have a bit of a practice race during the test.

Evosal’s yer man for a bit of “dodgems”, although Mr Dolan will be up for it too!

OOoErr forgot about that lot being there too, :astonished: Perhaps this is not such a good idea afterall  will have to keep it a secret when I am doing the driven part or everyone will be trying to put me in the gravel

You always have Boothy as well, he is never flat anywhere

Ive been waiting for the opportunity to post this up

Is that how you have to drive on your ARDS? Would that constitute a pass?

That’s funny Andy

He got past … did he not *?

Chris Pearson, cheating northern dodgy driving monkey extrordinaire!!!

Lol remember that, didn’t knock the mirrors off so it cant have been that close

You’re a driving god, no question.

You doing any racing this year Sean or has your arse gone

Haha… I remember that too !

Wish I’d had my camera running for it, it looked scary from where I was too (behind Mr Pearson)…

If I remember, he had another little moment coming out of the banked hairpin after the start/finish straight

I can assure you it was more scary from where i was sat :astonished:
90 mph on the grass with the corner coming up was not good, lol

Fingers crossed mate yeah.

Any advice for a trackday virgin? What’s the format? How many cars will be out on the 16th? I’d like to make sure I’m adequately prepared. Is there any tuition available on the day? Thanks in advance, really looking forward to it!

Yes there will be tuition which you can book from the BAT website or give Jonny a call. It will be open pitlane so you can go out whenever you like for as long as you like.

Just do 20min sessions and drive within your limits at speeds you feel comfortable with and have fun. There will be a big mix of speeds but you probably won’t find a more courteous place (in the main,…ahem Evosal) to pop yer cherry. Take some pax rides with some of the other guys too.

I’m really looking forwards to it too :sunglasses:

Andy,I was a complete novice when I went to Anglesey for my first track day.Tuition put me at my ease and I soon settled in to it. I kept the revs down but still had a great time. Everyone is very well mannered. If I recall there is a detailed Qand A on trackdays on Nyloc forum. Worth a read.
