The bloody idiot before who had the car has rounded off on of the screws so I can’t take the left hand side pod off. I have started to do the right side pod as well
You mean the hex hole is rounded off ??
Be careful and use a hack saw to cut a groove and remove with a flat screwdriver.
Try not to cut into the insert that the screw sits in.
You’ll get a replacement screw easily but the insert might cost ya, (for what it is)
Yeah the hex hole is rounded off. Ok will try the hack saw tomorrow. Will carry on with right grill tonight. Don’t have all the right tools on me as in London and not at home.
Dremmel a slot
Found leaving the side pod in boiling hot water for a few minutes
softens the sikaflex to make it a little bit easier to take off.
Update. Just got the left pod off. Only took 3 days but tonight I can start the grill
Haha that turned out to be a nice easy job. Anything I do on my car seems to take twice as long as I think it’s going to.
Pod off. Only took 2 � hours and 2 drill bits. Seemed to look like the screw had rusted to the C clip which was making my life hell. But it work. On removing the grill off the pod the other day I left the right pod in hot water which made it easyish to take off. So with the left pod I boiled hot water and poured it over the Sikaflex left it for a few minutes which made it easier to work with and only took about 10 minutes to take off unlike the 1st one was just over an hour.
All have left is to go home and stick them on. Plus order a new screw, the cup that it sits in which is nearly �4 �REALLY� and a new C Clip.
Who is net for the template? I would of finished at he weekend but some dick hit me off my bike at the weekend so everything is slow time

Well all finished today. Just need a new screw which will get when I go home. Apart from that it looks so much better… Less than 2 weeks till she goes into the body shop to look pretty again. I have also PMed 661 to see who is next

Would the colour of the gloop matter? Ie can you see it when fitted? My Tigerseal comes out a light grey colour
To those that have run cold air feed to their i/c from side pods. What did you do to allow access to the left hand side pod. I have an OEM air box so not much room to run hose to the side pod. Can I just remove the snorkel? or do I need a different air box?
