Your own Little JPS :)

Want one badly ! Linky

This ones at the Lotus workshop

This one used to be in my garage until I got the Exige bug

Very nice , how long ago did you sell it ? The prices for them are going bonkers now .

Sold it 10 years ago but for more than I had bought it for less than 3 years earlier.

Even had the JPS presentation box and jacket with it (fags had gone)

I have this one on my wall

Dad 1993 Monza .

Cool pic m8!

Now i know it doesn’t have JPS stickers on it, and as karts don’t often come up on exiges.com i am going to take this opportunity to show you my toy!

Tonykart EVR Rotax Max

Its an absolute hoot!

Specs??

2010 Tonykart EVR chassis, Ogden rotax max 125cc engine with power valve, magnesium hubs, magnesium wheels, mojo slicks, alfono lap timer/tach/engine temp/computer, all sorts of other goodies and oh… an XL seat to get all my 16 stone in!

Just a bit of fun a few of times a month and excellent value for money when compared to trackdays. Only downside with the rotax is the maintenance and the fact the engine needs rebuilding every 30 hours or so.

Fast, awesome fun, highly recommend you buy one!

I also had one in the 70’s , they were also a challenge to get in and out off, good training for a Exige thought III

My boy had a day on the one down from this, Rotax Mini if memory serves.
I think it’s the same with an exhaust restrictor, but he only weighed 6 st!
70mph. Tres Rapide

Looks supreme fun…

Agreed on the Rotax maintenance…
Pain in the butt …
And parts are pricey…
Not used then in karts just microlighting…

Yes you are quite right they are still very fast and the lighter you are the better. There are a few different classes, mini max engines have about 12hp, junior max 20hp and mine which is the max 28hp

With the right gearing and a track long enough you can hit 100mph, the acceleration is excellent and when the power valve kicks in it gives you a good boost, for me though it’s all about the cornering

Me last Friday at PFI. , first time on track for a practice day on my 2011 Robert Kubica rotax max

Good lad! I kind of thought there might be a few karters on here!

Best I take a picture in my shed, I have a couple of karts stacked up, no time for them and my friend who used to come with me fell on bad times, they are too hard to lift off the stand on your own :frowning:

Have to say the first drive was fantastic , proper quick and nothing like 4 stroke twin engine hire karts , cornering speed is amazing, I’m lucky enough to live near PFI but it’s always packed on practice days with the pro and semi pro karters with the huge transporters & pit crew spending big a season so it’s a bit daunting to get on for the first time .

Ade - I have seen quite a few people with 1 man lift trolley/stands

Might be an idea for you

I first started in prokarts but my first time in a 2 stroke took my breath away! Once the tyres have warmed up the grip is excellent. If you are going to try any other tracks do a quick google search and you can find out what the best gearing is. What day is the ‘owner driver’ day at PFI?
