Wrecked yellow Exige seen on trailer on M6 travelling towards Birmingham this morning. Minus roof, both off-side wheels and numberplate. Seems to have spent some time travelling upside down. Anybody want to put their hands up?
OH Sh…!My Guess is, its Keenan http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/Forum1/HTML/000387-2.html Is It?
Its the right colour
Yep! me tink so http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/Forum3/HTML/000013.html [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/frown.gif[/image]
Such speculation is rather morbid in my opinion (especially as someone has had a serious moment in their car)While not in our register, I have seen quite a few yellow Exiges about.I’m sure Keenan will step forward if it’s him.
Sorry! No ill feelings intendedYa just can not help feeling that some poor sole is without his toy.
Didnt what to post this on Tuesday, but since someone has spotted the car. I passed a very badly damaged yellow exige in Whiteley Hant’s 6.20am Tuesday. Plod was talking to I assume the driver and passenger as I passed. Car looked a right mess front cam missing bent wheels missing roof you get the picture. Looks like it had spun & flipped ??? and landed in a ditch. I know Keenan lives close by as I can always hear his yellow monster. Hope driver and passenger are well.Oops… forgot to mention, didn’t see any other cars involved and road conditions were wet.[This message has been edited by Hueys (edited 05 September 2001).]
[image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/frown.gif[/image]Flipping an Exige is no mean feat I’d have thought. Feelings go out to whoever it is… fingers crossed it’s not Keenan. Seems like occupant was uninjured (if plod was talking to them) so that’s a blessing.[This message has been edited by Admin5 (edited 05 September 2001).]

that goes for me as well, of course…
whilst it may be slightly morbid, I also think that there is alot to be learnt from actual crash damaged cars and so would solicit anyone with such pics to post them up so that we can all see the effects of various types of accident and hopefully feel reassured by the survivability of some of the more horrendous ones…I know I was more than pleasantly surprised after seeing pics of Tuts car to see how well the roll over bar had done.
Kerboom!!!It Was Me!!:neckbrace:Oh that one does not work! Sorry i havn’t replied earlier but looking at the screen makes me want to vomit!Cant say to much at this time because there is legal stuff going on, but the car has been wrecked and i spun it on wet oily surface at low speed. The car hit with the right side a raised concrete drainage ditch capping and went spinning, landed on its roof, the roll bar collapsed and my head took over supporting the car from there. Pictures will be e-mailed to Dave to post if any one is interested. My state of health considering the way the car folded up is good, Just suffering with whip lash, lower back pain and a 3" compression in my scull, Still walking talking and breathing (lives on to fight another day) My passenger is in a similar way.Car is a total wreck good bye 066 [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/frown.gif[/image]Kee [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]
Awful news Kee. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/frown.gif[/image]I’ve wondered about the safety of an Exige in a flip situation, and it seems they’re stronger than we’d give them credit for.Glad to hear you’re on the up and up.Let us know how you progress.Pics would be good if you can.
Ouch! Glad you’re okay.I couldn’t quite tell from your mail. While obviously happy to be in one piece and breathing, were you impressed with the car’s strength or hoping for a little more?I guess the Police took one look at the car and assumed it was completely your fault. Are you going to get another?Don’t be a stranger.
Maybe I’m too premature but don’t forget I’m selling my car soon to make way for a Noble - it’s been lovingly serviced by Haydon’s of Salisbury - and still is! see my earlier posting…‘Selling My Exige’ by Hythe[This message has been edited by Guy (edited 07 September 2001).]
