Yee hah - Frank's a comin......

mmm…now that’s worth a ponder…

Yep they did - had a fantastic trip by all accounts.

Only downside was that at the end of the trip, they spent something like 3 months trying to get their cars back from the shipping company

Me and the missis were hoping to ship the Audi Exige GT3 over to America while the Olympics is on, and rent our house out to fund a one month driving holiday.

If others would consider going over there between 21 July and 19 August 2012, we should be around to meet up with Frank

Would be interested to know more about that - any link online to follow that story?

IIRC Twas a dispute with the shipping company - who tried to charge “extras” once the ship arrived back in the UK. If you are serious about shipping your car to USA & back, I can give the phone number of one the lads who was involved in the Sevens trip (he lives in Leeds).

Rob - plan to go there on a future trip but it won’t be this or next year so I’ll take a raincheck for now - thanks.

I’ve been plugging Golding for the last 2 years to go out to Laguna for a race with the CupUSA boys…

One day!!

Now that would be worth a trip. I met up with Ian wilson when he did the coast to coast epic years ago. Great thread on seloc, get the gravy and Naan’s in and sit back.

Yeah you guys need to come over here where the weather is always better, the roads are clear and there are no speed cameras…No trafffic in the twisties…

Q for the twisties

LOL @ Steve

Carmagedon was one of the best drivin days I can remember, there was no one on the road, seriously it was nuts to run down the Hwy to the twisties as if it was 4 in the morning with zero traffic.

Did I tell ya it was 80*f and sunny with dry twisty roads here yesterday and the same for the up comin week… Ask Sean how bad it was here on a so so day in the twisties…

I think I’ll go for a run with my biker buddies this morning and then a afternoon sail and watch the sunset…

I just started to hate you a little more

I think we all do really

Frank,

I just watched one of your videos on YT and have noticed there’s something wrong…

From the roof (or wing) mounted camera, with it’s very steady image, meaning you have either active suspension (Lotus developed it in the 80’s) or the roads are, errr, smooth. Whats the fun in that?!? What you want is rock hard suspension and roads that ensure you’re off it more than on it (the road that is). Oh how shocked you’re going to be when you drive anything that’s labelled as “sport” when you visit us…

Kurt

That road is smooth and a sport biker’s dream… Now I do have a fairly stiff setup with Randy spec shocks dialed up and hard, 650/800 lb springs

Camera is mounted on the roof…
