Yee hah - Frank's a comin......

Frank I arrive in LA on the 21st. You can pick me up from LAX in your boat if you like.

Are you around on Sunday 22nd?

Dude this time we gotta get together… I’ll make a point of it, don’t bring any rain.

Rain cancelled!!

I have a pretty busy week, but Sunday is free until the evening. I’m all yours!!

Cool we can do the usual Sunday morning poser car gathering and then hit the twisties…

I’ve got to try and get there if Frank’s a comin!

When is the Exiges.com route66 tour going to be arranged so we can return the gesture?

Always fancied putting the Exige in a container bound for the East coast and driving across the country.

Recently watched the Charlie Boorman programme on Canada so that’s another idea as well!

Hey guys it looks as though the trip over is not in the stars at this time for Toni and myself…
Tryin to put all the travel from London to the track, to Lotus and back to London is a pain in the ass and I can’t convince her she’s gonna love drivin across the UK on the wrong side of the road in the rain in a rental the size of a shoebox as the trip is more travel than visit…

Yeah I know this sucks since I was really wanting to meet you chuckle heads face to face…So the best I can say now is come on over to sunny LA. and we’ll go for a sail and a canyon cruise in the rocket pig…The roads are dry and the beer is cold.

Man up, big boy, who’s the boss in Bumfuck CA ?

Hey, that’s not what we’d hoped for. I’d hoped to be given a character reading face-to-Face. Surely, a man of your calibre can sort out a travel itinerary? (At worst, leave Mrs Frank at home in Bumf***.CA - surely she’d have fun home alone?)

Dudes I’m still tryin but the trip was turnin into all about me and nothing she is into… She wanted a nice train trip in a first class car but it seemed to turn into a boxcar with wet sheep… I thought you guys had this rail travel down to a science…?

Mate, I live 20mins from Heathrow Airport. Happy to pick you and your good lady up and take you to a hotel in town where you can get a decent motor delivered,…heh you could even hire a Lotus (not a 680whp one though  ). There’s a group of us travelling up to Wales from London and we’ll happy to take you (or both of you) up to Wales as there’s likely to be at least four of and we could chuck all the bags/lids in the cars without passengers.

Where there’s a will…

I should be a travel agent :

  • Fly into London, stay somewhere swanky.
  • 1st Class Train London Euston to Chester
  • Stay in Chester its quite errr ā€˜Quaint’
  • Choose your vehicle from this list.
  • Leisurely drive in chosen vehicle across Snowdonia to see yer mates on Anglesey.
  • Return to car to Chester and train back to London back to swanky hotel.
  • 1st Class Train to Norwich - cab it to Hethel then back to London.
  • Fly home

Happy days,…seems like a great trip to me.

With a pause at Dudlaay for a tour of JSR and a curry night at Lye…

Has anyone seen the Bookatrack website recently ?

HERE

I know 5 grand is crazy money, I know we couldnt drive ā€œourā€ cars around Califonia ( or could we ? ) but you can always dream …

Frank … I’m in Orlando on the 5th and I’m getting a plane into Manchester arriving 6th morning … it aint so difficult

Sort it out Frank!!!

Frank - this is what you want

add this onto the end of Bens suggested itinerary. If you two like trains, Toni will love the trip.

Known about this a few weeks now, very interested indeed. I have family in San Fran  works for me on an epic scale! My car in Cali :sunglasses:

yeah always wanted to drive 'guna seca

5k is about the same as a pair of first class tickets to the US, so against that it’s good value.

how do the cars get there, boat? Fly?

Cheapest way so I have been told is dock drop off and collection…

Some of the Caterham7 boys did a similar US trip a couple of years ago I think.
