Ah the fine art of diplomacy… Looks like a few more copies of “how to make friends and influence people” have made it into the community.

If I was happy with the repairs then I’d personally have no worries about buying a repaired car… For a discount I’ve brought an ex-track car for a bargin and other than this silly fuel pump business it’s been grand.

But then people always seem to feel more comfortable paying through the nose, a dear friend of mine just had their front brakes changed on an Orion… for… 120!!! I nearly dropped a rod! So you can get good work for less money than people think, you just need to know the right people

Yes, sorry, got confused with the B, C and D.
And I have no problem with your Exige, not even with the price (but I have one already).

What I have a problem is with your impersonations and your attitude.
This still doesn’t make you any nicer.
Funny how computers shield from the real world. If you were in front of me you would have probably lost your teeth by now.

I’m surprised at how you can sell ANY car.

Did anybody see the film “Matilda” ? (the father? the used car salesman?) you remind me soooo much of him

At least I’m pleased that you’re making an effort to type better

I am coming down to oulton park on the 12th so i can come and find you and say hello. You seem to be the one who is being aggresive all i am doing is trying to explain the damage on my car and giving a comparison with the 340.

You said computers shield you from the real world but you are the one going on about knocking teeth out which is a brave statement to someone you have never even met.

So is that the Lunch time event, Udlis vs. EVOSAL battling with lumps of CF in a muddy field

Sod the trackday

You are definitely thick, it’s not aggressivity, it’s stating the facts.
You should not speak or write like that.
Behind a screen, you can get away with it.

If you do it in front of me, you can’t. It’s as simple as that.
No point explaining any more.

See you there.

How much do you want for the “pristine” Mini Cooper S in the background? Has it been on track? Who was driving?

Not that Im a fan or anything but it could be the mini Mr Bean used to drive.

You know, the one that was crushed by the tank!
Amazing what a lick of paint can do!

I wondered what happened to it

this has to be the most comic thread I’ve ever seen…however I think it’s kind of odd that Uldis is having to defend himself 'cos he’s exige to the core and is on exiges.com but any tom dick can come 'ere and 'ave a pop. Know wot I mean 'arry. I think evolotusloversal shows that perhaps we need to have more of a community approach to the BBS. Just MHO, also just back from pub!

Why have you brought me into this with Uldis i have never mentioned him.

Er… I think that line has just been crossed.

I think a little respect is needed. Dont you!

Good to hear from you Colin - must admit this thread has been ‘entertaining’ - I reckon Elvis will be next poster as the buyer of Evo’s pristine Exige - hope the new board members don’t leave us too soon - you are of course most welcome but leave Mr Chapman out of it…

Robbo, I agree. Entertaining as this thread has been I don’t think impersonating ACBC is very funny, in fact it sucks and I think whoever did it should have the good taste to remove their post.

PLEASE GENTLEMEN! (Before you become less gentle!)

Mr EVOSAL, may I please remind you of the first sentence of your opening posting:

hi i have only just registered with this forum and was surprised to see that my car Y757BSG has been the subject of much discussion and speculation most of it by armchair experts/anoraks whichever you prefer.

Now considering NOTHING had been said about the owner of the car (ie. you) I think you can hardly claim that this statement wasn’t provocative. I’m also not sure where some of your other over zealous statements have come from; like many of our cars being damaged.

EVOSAL, if you post politely, although I’d suggest under a different name, I think you’ll find that far from armchair anoraks we’re a fun loving bunch who together offer the best possible place for general advice on your car (for example see the Fuel Pump issue in Questions + Answers).

I understood this BBS to be a community of Exige lovers - Pull Gs, not punches!

Ian

ps. sally, I think you’ll find the vast majority of people on here will never think of the Exige as JUST a car!

Sorry if this is bad news for you randy, maybe you should have done your homework before replying.

Oooh. Getting a bit eggy are we?

What time is everyone meeting at Oulton as I think I may pay a visit , I dont want to miss all of the festivities… and it is a good excuse to get the Exige out and give her a run ! Before any one accusses me of being Evo Sal, I have not logged on for a while and forgott my password and couldnt get on to reply so I have had to register again… Turbo Tomato can verify my existance as he was going to purchase my Exige before I lost my license…Good job I kept it after all as I am allowed on the queens highways again…

Can anyone advise how difficult it is to replace the battery and how much I should be paying for one. Due to the little beastie being kept locked away for the last 3 months the battery is Knackered and wont take a charge ?!

Cheers

Rob

Hey mate

Good to see you back - I really should have bought your car after all the trouble I’ve had with mine, but that’s another story…
