Robbo - brilliant - I always drive mine in this position altho’ centre of grav, and hence polar moment of inertia is somewhat compromised

Oh yeah, So how did you see it damaged and being repaired then Sally ? I know, you must be his wife/girlfriend
Actually, i have nothing to hide on my car, the damage and repair is all documented on my web page WITH PICTURES, so i can PROVE that the damage was only one longeron, can you ?
Oh guys, what am i offered for a 220BHP Exige then
p.s. I think i would sell my car easier than yours because it has been documented and repaired by a Lotus approved repairer
Manna from heaven for Mr Admin, new members signing up in their droves - Evosal, Lotuslova, Sally - next one step right this way please personally given the choice I’ll take Phil’s car
me too…
I can say it would be better to deal with Phil than EVOSAL!
…and me.
BIG difference in stress distribution on the rest of the chassis between a rear end hit and a side one!
Sally, EVOSAL, Lotuslover, please, what are you doing here?
Trying to prove a point? what point?
Phil’s car damage was repaired with all new pieces, and nothing structural.
It’s as if it never happened (actually better, since he got a better exhaust for replacement)
Then again, he’s documented it on his web page complete with about 70 pictures.
And then, he’s not selling it or bragging about it.
Or complaining about us.
So why are you here?
You don’t like us (that’s obvious), you think we’re not helpful, mean, etc.
Just go away and live your life man. You keep coming back, like a bad date
And learn how to type BTW (all small caps, jeeez!).
Phil, I’d buy yours but I have one already!
Uldis
PS - the trick of signing in with different names doesn’t work. You might as well use the EVOSAL name, or, are you ashamed of something?
PS2 - Admin, why not automate the signing in procedure so that they need to have details on their profile? IMO this is more like a group, unlike the BBS
This is unintentionally turning into a very funny thread.
Keep the imposters rolling in…they’re very believable.
P.S. In summary, someone trying to flog a car to unsuspecting punters, that shouldn’t (legally) be on the road anymore? Nice.
<Caveat: Just my armchair anaylsis>
Glad we’re keeping a Radical owner happy in the winter months!
You guys need to chill out and stop being so paranoid, Ok so my cars had some damage big deal!!!
Lots of cars belonging to members on here will have been damaged in some form or another on trackdays or on the road,
The point is as long as the repair is right and it is declared when selling (as i am) there is no problem,
What annoys me is experts who really dont know what they are talking about waffling on and making assumptions,
I have booked the exige in with hpi for an engineers report and to have it removed from the v-car list,
I will then sell it for the full market value in the spring (after a few trackdays,
We will see what a thatcham trained engineer says about the chassis repairs instead of the Roy Cropper supporters club, you know who you are !!!
Evolotusloversal
Yawn - blah blah - yawn
Why can’t you converse without being offensive? -
You get a lot further and gain friends when you are nice!

This is a 340r we had which was bought in the same way as the exige i have and is the same cat d as the exige. But according to the salvage experts on here cars dont get written off for no damage.

The 340R being ran by EVO mag sufferd very similar damage, cost of repair 10K, might not be alot of damage, but very expensive to put right. Involved replacement of the body, which comes in one piece.
Dave
The body had not taken any major damage. The only damaged part on the fibreglass body was repaired at a cost of just over 200.
There was no suspension or aluminium tub damage and it wasn’t the car that evo magazine damaged.
I went to see a 340R with accident damage like that a couple of years back before I bought my Exige. I wouldn’t be suprised if it was the same car. The owner had stuffed it into a tree sideways and although the bodywork looked very intact the floorpan was bent and I wouldn’t have even thought about trying to fix it. The owner wanted ~14K, if I remember rightly, which made no sense at all as the car HAD to have a new chassis. I think that really is the bottom line with these cars… if the tub is damaged it needs a new one and most Lotus owners would not find a repaired chassis acceptable. I’m sorry if that is bad news for Evosal but you really should have done your homework before you bought the car.
Evosal, sorry mate, it was me who originally asked the innocent question as to whether anyone knew anything about your exige. This was never intended to be a can of worms!
I too buy/repair/sell salvage so I also know that there are some car buyers out there who will not touch repaired cars whatever the circumstances.
However, I’ve got to say, I think you should take ‘most’ of this on the chin. Alienating yourself from the crowd on here won’t help you selling. You’ve been honest in your descriptions but you will always struggle to get top (or anything like top) money for a repaired car (even Condition Inspected).
With regard to the 340r. Headlamps are like golddust and more expensive. I’ve seen insurance cos bin them for one headlamp alone.
Good luck with the exige but I think you’ll have to make the price too good to miss before someone will bite.
Actually, he doesn’t need to, he seems to be a firm believer on fixing the chassis.
On the 340R, if it was the fiberglass only and changing to a new one was uneconomicall, I would agree on buying it and just repairing the fiberglass. He got a bargain there.
If the chassis was even slightly damaged, I would only buy it if it was going to end as a race car only, subject to much more abuse, but never back on the road.
Bt then that’s him. At least he is putting some more effort in Capitals and punctuation (thank you)
He is still being offensive though.
Talking about offensive, could it be Simon coming back just to wind us up?..
naaaahh!!
