X-Bow goes bye bye

There was a modified X-Bow at Anglesey last week. Had AmD stickers on it and showed awesome power…

There were a load of them at Rockingham on Saturday, driving like cocks :frowning:

Very fast though! I couldn’t keep up with them.

I was there too!!!

I know the owners :frowning:

The one in the video was there too.

What did you see?

I was there and I will second the cock notion. The only one I didnt have a problem with was the guy in the white one.

MarkyB - nice to put a face to the username. I was the guy you talked to about the SC honda elise.

I hadn’t met the guy in the white one before and he was a nice guy, very enthusiastic about the Lotus too.

Crickey didn’t realise there were more from here there. I hadn’t booked on so didn’t run a thread. I just went down and got a no-show slot.

what car were you in Damon ?

tell me you werent in the 2-11 ? please …

No a white S2 Exige S.

There were a couple of guys who had hired the Track Club 2-11 going very slow.

Hi Damon, did you trailer yours? I only saw one white S2 there but I thought it was the one from Spa which had a bit of a scrape.

I was in one of the 3 grey Exige S’s  There was a 240 Cup car there too.

DSE, also nice to put a name to a face. Nice car too

All the trackclub cars were crawling, and refused to get out of the way. The TrackClub owner chappie was extremely helpful to me with pads though  The XBow guys just totally disegarded all the rules, and pissed everyone off. I think a couple got black flagged… They just seemed to turn up with a fuck you attitute. They did get better later on.

Shame as there were quite a few new people there, and a couple I spoke to were a bit scared off as they thought it was the norm. Certainly the worst behaviour i’ve seen. Trouble is with the Exige, is you really don’t know if someone is next to you…

Yes trailered the car for the first time. Much more enjoyable for it too IMO.

Will make sure I put a thread up for all events in the future, it was a shame to miss the opportunity to meet up.

Ahhh, yes I remember seeing a couple of white exiges. I was in the S/C whining Lotus S2 Elise.

I agree with you Mark, I havent been to a trackday that was that mental.

Not too many, I didn’t get the green light to join until 1100 and had to leave at 1600.

I saw you going around (and heard  ). I also heard you waved bye bye to the red GTR3

That was my brother, waving like a tw@t because the 2 gt3s and the gt3rs wouldnt get out of the way (we had been following them for a fair while). I dont think they expected my elise to keep up on the straight bits.

TBH it doesnt bother me that much when people dont get out of the way, they usually make a mistake when they are driving that hard anyway. Like the GT3RS trying to drop me and going straight on through the cons at the end of the straight. Its also funny seeing how ragged people get when someone is behind them.

Its all part of the fun.

Hmm seems to be a bit too much testosterone knocking around on the day.

Not sure why it gets like that. I am a pretty competitive type, but on circuit I know I am not quick and am happy to let anyone who appears in my mirrors go by. Fair play to them

A little video… Excuse the dodgy camera position!

The Focus later on was a typical example from the day. Surely people should realsie that if you catch them up, they aren’t going to suddenly find a couple of seconds a lap and pull away! Not too bad but a whole lap was frustrating.

The 2-11 was much worse, but you can see he gets out of the way pretty quick, which was after BaT had words

Had my first ever spin too, at over 80 and managed a full 360  No warning at all, which was odd, but then my tyres are borderline legal!

Can’t watch Vimeo at my client site so will look at it later.

I’ve selected the Add tab and added it to the Vimeo Lotus group for you

Good man

Nice vid and driving :O) They have the balance of power to handling spot on in the S IMO. In comparison my car is all over the place, the power dominates the experience.

Nice Marky, pushing hard buddy.
