Winter Project

Just caught up with this. A very gracious thank you to all who have helped. I didn’t know the north-east was such a haven of motorsport
And a few southerners with Lotus bits, too, thanks.
You’ll be at Donington on Oct 9 then?

Sounded good to my ears
Reckon you need a beer now !

Its alive… Alive I tells ya!!

Had it running for the first time last night. Didn’t want to start without a fight though, bloody ecu, bloody engine loom, had me running round like a headless chicken yesterday all over the country…

All sorted now and running very nicely indeed. Just needs it suspension final set up and a day of testing and should be good for Donny.

Well done Gav what an epic. 10 months of hard work and it sounds like all being well it will be pounding down Craner’s in a couple of weeks :sunglasses: Can’t wait to see it…

Fair play Gav!!

Cheers guys!

AWESOME! :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Nice one Gav. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

Again, thanks guys.

Its not quite finished yet. Still lots of little jobs to finish off like fitting the roof, harness mounting points etc, etc. The biggest job being the panel for all the switches and gauges to mount on. Ive drawn something up for them but wether it will be ready in time is another thing. If push comes i will resort to getting a tupperware box and cut some holes in to mount them temporary to get it out on track (can also stick my sandwiches in there…).

we need to see some pics and video soon…

Awesome Gav … its a great feeling getting to that stage :sunglasses:

Sure do!

Taken you long enough Gav! - just ready for autumn use!!

Well done that man - really looking forward to seeing the lil’ beast…

Sorry about the lack of pics atm, im still actually waiting for my new computer to arrive… Trust me to order the one out of stock!!

Ok so im bored… The car is at Ohlins and I wont see it for another week as Russ is away to the Ring most of next week working on one of those new McClaren’s (lucky git). I spent the day with him yesterday putting the dampers on the car so they are all mounted now, they just need to be resprung slightly lower and the final geo and ride heights set when he gets back. It really is looking good!

LoL however, I dont think Russ was too impressed with me setting his workshop on fire yesterday!! Oooops, sparks from the grinder and the parts washing basin dont mix well… Had to get the old extingusher on the go! Ner, he was cool although i think ive earnt the new nickname of ‘Prodigy’!!
