Anyone had them done and if so do they scratch when you do the window up and down? Or even down then up? Thinking of getting them done ready for the summer.
ready for the summer or ready for a drive by
JFK…
Drive by in exige mite not go unnoticed? But i like your thinking haha
Cool as fcuk imho
Never been too keen myself, 'cept on something like a Chrysler 300 estate…sort of latter-day Anthill Mob
Rob - I’ve always liked the full look of tints plus the wrap of the fuel filler surround - it emphasises that very fluid line of the lower roof down to the rising waistline - and makes the roof appear to float ala Range Rover
Had them on since new - 2000 - and they have stood up really well. No scratches or peeling except on the top front corner of the passenger window which has peeled about 10mm. However, this was due to a poorly adjusted window rather than anything inherently wrong with the film.
Think ill have to invest in some. I think they look nice on the lighter coloured cars so should look good on artic silver.
Check that whatever you have fitted won’t get you pulled; legally they have to be 70% transmission.

Rob, Have you had the front windscreen done too ??
What sort of cost ??
No Mike, windscreen is boggo standard (apart from the sunstrip).
With regards cost for the windows, I think it was about 60, but that was some years ago now!

Was ? Or is there any technical reason for not doing the front windscreen??
There are legal issues Mike, concerning the restriction of night vision due to tints - that’s why manufacturers only fit tints to rear & rear side windows. My Exige windows only have a light tint, but the black interior trim makes them appear darker than they actually are. These pics perhaps demonstrates the foregoing
a 60 fine was the deciding factor that i take mine off in the previous car. looks good though, but if they are too dark, just another excuse to get stopped…
Seen it a couple of times on the police camera action type tv programmes - they stop a car, check the tint with a little machine and when it fails give the owner the choice of a fine or peeling the film off there and then…
