Window tints???

Catching real criminals is sometimes just too difficult …
Good job the motorist props up the conviction rate hey !

As below, posted earlier:

I’d almost forgotten what a great pic that is, Mr P

I’ve seen stuff like that, but the issue is generally / always that the tint is to too dark, and let’s insufficient light through. It’s usually ‘ethnic minoriry’ drug sellers, in 7 series BMW , or idiots in Astra’s

Haha my misses dint like the idiots in astras comment as she has just had her vxr tints done.

I have never really understood window tints tbh, says Chav or drug dealer to me…
I guess there are some positives but then dogging is not my thing either.

I did mine for two reasons really…
A. It’s cooler in summer
B. I got fed up of people peering in through the side windows.

Is that 'cos “9 out of 10 [size:14pt]cats[/size] prefer Boothy”? Lol!

Guys, don’t do it.

Apart from being illegal it stops other road users making eye contact when you are waiting at a t-junction. If you ride a bike, pedal or motor, you look for all the clues you can that the driver at the junction has seen you. We drive low and fragile sports cars and, as (name dropping) Julian Thompson said to me once, if you drive and Elise you must have motor cyclist awareness skills. They are anti-social for other road users.

This has tweaked a pet hate, leave them to the Corsa drivers!

That should upset a few people.

It is not necessarily illegal - depends on level of tint. Being seen is a two way thing - some bikers need to wise up to that too, & ride defensively. In the same vein, I don’t understand why some some car drivers, particularly with grey/silver/green coloured cars don’t drive with their sidelights on during daylight. And get me started on lack of light usage on motorways, especially in wet weather.

Don’t dissagree with the jist of your post, Simon, road driving is all about awareness

I received this reply from a tinter over the w/e

Hi Mike,

I’m sorry but it is illegal to tint front doors and is highly illegal to
tint the front windscreen.

Also silver film is manufactured to be applied to flat glass windows in
offices and homes, it is not an auto film.

Sorry I cannot be of anymore help.

Kind Regards
