WHERE ARE ALL THE SI EXIGES?

Is it just me, but I have NEVER seen another S1 Exige on the ‘public highway’! They seem only to congregate at circuits!

Thoughts!

Before I got mine I had only seen one on the road. And, from what I know now, I think that was RussT, mooching around the Garstang area in Lancs.
Since then I’ve been in convoy/transit with Pesky but
no-one notices me as I’m outshone by his shining example . . .

I dunno, I tend to see a few about here and there couple years ago though, I’d often be lucky enough to have Randy blast past me on the way home from school on Friday afternoons, best part of my week

Still, S1s arent like other cars, those Fezza F430s for example getting common as muck these days!

Given that there seem to be quite a few hiding in the ‘Midlands’ I am amazed that they are hiding so well! I often blast about the Cotswolds… great roads and quiet too! Surprised not to meet one coming the other way!!

As for Fezzas, how about 997 Porkies… more out there than Mondeo’s!

Is not it great to be 1/250th of something very special!!!

i see the odd one round coventry, warwick and solihul

Only ever once seen another S1 Exige on the roads, and that was before I got mine, and was in Australia.

Well, that’s a lie, I’ve seen Jez’s one on the roads too, but that’s only convoying homewards briefly after a trackday.

Given that Jez lives a couple hundred km south of me and we don’t cross paths apart from Lotus-related meets, it’s not likely that I’ll ever spot another on these roads.

IIRC, we had about 12 in convoy on the A5, from Llangollen to Anglesey (75 miles), for a trackday in 2002.

I’m sure that IDG has some pics to confirm - come on Ian - get them posted up!

Saw a nice silver one last Monday near Snetterton on my way to the factory.

Which mystery man owns it ?

Looked very cool - nicer lines than my S2. Tried to get a S1 but couldn’t find a good one

Ha Ha!!! Could have been me on my way to/from Emerald!!! MILES away from where I live though!!!

Yes…the S1 is the ONE! (heads down!)

Well the image is firmly burnt in my memory! I’ll see what I can find but I think they were all car park shots (remember the Dr Who anybody?).

Ian

Ian

I thought you had a couple of shots along the A5 near Snowdon?

Never mind Dr Who - what about the muck spreader, & speeding ticket incidents, eh!

… what about the muck spreader…,incidents, eh!

So that explains the re-spray Pesky!!!

It could… but it doesn’t!

Mines out most days on the commute to work in Gloucestershire. Also had a nice day out on Sunday doing an economy run around the Cotswolds - managed a whopping 28 mpg around the lanes and hills.

Mine is in the office car park today!

I’m trying to find out where all the others are via the survey.

I’ve been in several S1 convoys over the yaers, 5 or 6 cars being common. And I have seen others on the road as well.

Driving mine now almost everyday since I got it this eastern and loving it. Could have been spotted taming the ring this Sunday

Good to see you using it in anger Rene.
'twas what Exiges were made for.
Well done.

How to you run your Exiges on TWO STROKE and what mix works best!!!

Jez…There is a scratch on the base of your os wheel arch…tut tut is this what NZ roads do for paintwork.
However I do know that Stealth Orange is the worlds best colour for showing stone chips…but you know its worth it.
Have fun guys
