Sorry for the delay, aelord , back from the dead, and have just caught up on the swing this thread has taken. Nice burgers by the way.
My Nitrons are hofmanns on 500/700s both with helpers. I haven’t had them long enough to evaluate them. That said the journey back from Henley was no worse (I’d say better, but you would , wouldn’t you ,after spending a shed load). I wanted a track based car. Yes I go on jollies with the boys , but I have other cars I can take to the shops. There is going to be a compromise, make no mistake. If you just do road stuff then I’m not sure I’d advocate swapping away from the original Billies, if in good condition. But it’s your money.
So far I have not found the road ride too harsh. I’ve got the one way adjustables, set 10 F and 8R from hard. These I would suggest go harder by a couple of clicks for the track. I have a reasonable understanding of geometry but would be totally out of my depth on a more adjustable system… The main differences I’ve noticed are that the sterering is lighter and more positive and that I’m tram lining more (cambers increased)
