If you are talking about fitting it to your Exige, then the AIM MXL dash fits in the binnacle really well and kind of looks like it grew there.
John and Wayne made up a loom for mine and Chris’s, so it is just plug and play and your old dash can be plugged back in at any time.
Here is a pic of my S2 dash
It also includes all of the warning lights as well which is nice. You can also choose one with data logging or not and you can plug a camera into the back and overlay the dash data onto the video.
Will this work with the early dash?
Yep, sure will.
Also, to clarify, on cars with variable traction and launch control that uses the dash display. All of this works with the AIM too, so you can see where your variable TC is set and also what your launch revs are.
You can also display anything else that comes down the CAN BUS from the ECU. Plus you have 8 input channels for adding extra sensors. I have engine oil temp, gearbox oil temp and oil pressure.

How do you get the extra sensors on the CAN BUS for oil temp etc?

That certainly does look fab. Do you have to tell the isurance co. about the mod & non-air bag wheel? Does it affect track day cover too Sean?
Cheers Sean
That really does look the muts.
So who supplies these and how many drinking vouchers do they cost?

You dont get the extra sensors down the CAN BUS. The dash has 8 of its own inputs that you can connect pretty much anything you want to.

John is your man for prices. It includes the carbon back plate and all the brackets and loom and stuff. There are a few options of dash depending on if you want logging or not and how many extra channels you want.
Thanks Sean, will drop John an email.
Will have a look at Chris’s on Saturday at Oulton
i dont think you do, you’d use the 8 extra input for the temps etc
The only difference between mine and Chris’s, is mine is the street dash, so has all of the battery / indicators / main beam etc. Apart from that they are the same. The street dash is the same price as the non street one as far as I am aware.
I realise it goes over the can bus, but how do you link the new sensors to it in the engine bay?
You get the original dash info via the CAN bus - water temp, revs, speed, fuel level, and a couple of other goodies, depending on year. Any other info you want requires separate sensors and wiring, direct to the dash from the sensor.
