Sorry, I’m not much of a mountain biker. One I have is ancient and little used and it’s sold it has no suspension.
I’d have a look at Wiggle or Chain Reaction websites.Or even Evans Cycles.
There seem to be plenty with front suspension and disc brakes from around £500 . . .

I’d concur with an AM V8 Vantage as a choice, under rated at launch, great road cars if seen as a really sporting GT. Really communicative and for me it was a car I grew into, took me a little while to learn to get best from it and appreciate it’s talents.
But worse case at least they look nice!
