Anyway I have just taken off my diffuser ready for my new one tomorrow and while I was there I also went to cut a bit more of the nimbus sheild above and down the side of the rear box, however I couldn’t find my tin snips, so I decided just to remove it completely
Now I’ve put it back together I’m not convinced I don’t need it anymore, as a matter of reference I have a 2bular decat and GT3 rear box and the 211 plinth conversion so I run with no plate on track.
So am I stupid and should put it back on now?
Just to add I just spoke to Jonnyfox and he runs his car without one, so I feel a bit less worried now.
Thanks mate, I knew I could trust you, now where is Uncle P?
I should have known better than expect a sane answer from anyone round here
I am now not sure, I might modify it a bit before I put it back on if I’m going to, (READ:) basically I might have mangled it a bit taking it out without jacking the car up first
Must start a new thread, it will read “Mr Pesky in sensible answer shocker”
Even I wouldn’t like to see an S2 go up in smoke Not worth taking a risk with such basic safety stuff imho, especially in a highpowered/modded car like your own. Every second will count if the worst were to happen.
Only the manifold is zircotec coated, still undecided what to do, I think I will cut down the nimbus so it only covers the areas I need to worry about and refit it, this will get rid of most of the weight, then have a look at JF and Will while at spa and then re think mine, best safe than on fire
Thanks for all your inputs
