my 190 exige is without cat and fitted with a janspeed system, it pops and bangs like a good’en. once already warm it takes a few minutes of hard driving or a stint on the motorway to get the manifold up to the required ignition temp, but then it pops gently on normal use on overrun, and on the track or “sporting” road driving it reapeatedly cracks out super pops, gebang, gebang, gebang on change downs and even sometimes on the upchanges, which makes me very proud.
some things never change, first job on my first mini was to fit an LCB exhaust, made the thing probably slower but 100 times more fun to drive. the audio track enhances the fun immesurrably. the exige looks and sounds the part.
