FINALLY got my hands on my car, should be all legal as of tomorrow Car is #2 of 2 in NZ, and is my utter, utter pride and joy, and the Titanium-coloured apple of my eye.
In the meantime, I’ve taken some quick snapshots, I’m sure that in a couple of weeks when the car’s been properly detailed, I’ll have many more images to share
Nope, Taupo… the full circuit, that you blokes sadly didn’t get to go on when you were here.
Oh yes we did We sneaked on a for a lap when the marshalls werent looking. Lotus on Track were the first people ever to drive it Only did 1 lap before we got a row
The ones next to the ship were taken a week or so back by a mate of mine who’s a bit of a photographer. Have plenty from that photoshoot, but that’s one of my faves.
Is that manfield??

Aah cool, didn’t know you’d sneaked in You wouldn’t have been the first, but November last year would have been pretty early on in the track’s life that’s for sure
Nice photos - what ride height are you running at the front - looks quite high?
I’d imagine that with the type of roads out in the country you might like to get some front mudflaps fitted before you ruin that nice paint job…
Not sure what height it’s running at but I’m pretty sure it’s standard Exige height. Wouldn’t want it to be much lower, it seems to ground on driveways and speedbumps as it is now. Eventually I’ll upgrade to Ohlind, but I shudder to think what it’ll be like when I get those on!
The roads aren’t quite that bad here but there’s a lot of loose stones… I’m very careful with my following distances, but stonechips are inevitable. The paint’s not perfect, but it looks good enough to be careful with.

It not following cars that will do the damage - its what your front tyres will throw up and at your lower sills and the leading edge of the rear clam which will collect 20mm+ stones!
I drive slowly wherever there’s loose chippings, but it doesn’t seem to make too much difference.
Mudflaps
Wonder if I should add rally tyres, antilag and undertray bashplates too Stonechips don’t bother me too much, so long as they’re not excessive… shows the car’s been used as intended
I drove mine through a little mud once at about 5mph and the whole side was covered up to the side intakes. Every thing that the front tyres pick up are fired to the sides :S
Im restoring my car and a set of mudflaps would be a very good idea. Any idea where to get them?
