The roof is off on ' the Dark Side'

After ‘the curry’, I thought I would post this one in ‘General’… before I go the ‘S2’ Specific route!!!

My ‘new’ car!!!

… not an exige, but a nice 160 BHP S2 111s in the best colour!

And enough bucks left to trick up the suspension a tad too!

Really pleased… the VVC gives a good amount of grunt and being a ‘K’ keeps the car light too!

The missus gives it a thumbs up… as she likes to go ‘topless’!

Good work mate!

When did you collect it, private or trade?

Have you got a big list for santa?

More photos please!

Sounds like a great car, Pete :sunglasses:

Glad you got home okay after the (excellent) meal.

Car is quite unique!

Private sale from one previous owner… who only did 5000 miles!!!

Minty… inclu the wishbones!!!

Santas list is growing!!! Looked at a MOG seat yesterday, but as I said to Pesky at last nights excellent curry, I was too wide for it!!! Great pity as lovely, with Carbon front and Kevlar rear (the seat not me!!!)

Anyway, time to get the weight loss programme for both the car and me!!!

Will post more later!

 Nice buddy :sunglasses:

Sounds like a great car :sunglasses:

Well, I managed to ‘swap’ with a brill chap on Seloc my standard S2 111s ‘Spider’ wheels for some Compomotive 6 spokes with Toyo R888’s! All only 500 miles old!!!

So first today job was to put these on, then wash and photo

Now need to get it lowered from the rather silly 140 ride heights!!! Post Christmas New Year job!!!

Luverly mota, fella :sunglasses:

Very nice, I used to have an S2 111s myself and loved it, cracking road car in std trim, lots of fun on the twisty stuff and just enough power.
Those wheels are pretty sweet too, I have not seen those before.

Looks mint mate! Bargin wheels, Get them painted black :sunglasses:

Mate you must be chuffed, excellent!

Great looking car Pete - good to hear that you’re back in the saddle.

Congrats Pete, cracking colour, smart wheels and liking the hard top

Harvey.

Looks good Pete - looking forward to seeing it post Xmas tweaking and out on track.

Excellent. And a K series, too.

CHeers Graham!

I actually prefer silver wheels with Storm Titanium!

I think the black ones make the car look a bit bottom heavy… I am going to need all the lightness I can get to even try to keep up with you now!

Thx for all the comments guys!

Yes, really chuffed with the mota!

Yes, I know it’s not an Exige!!! And deffo not an S1 Exige!!! But if I squint with the hardtop on, I reckon you can see a good bloodline!

That hartop is brill… properly watertight and actually is quite quiet!!! It’s also kind of got that nice enclosed feeling that the Exige gave…

The best bit though is when then sun shines, I can now take the roof off to see it and loose quite a few kilos in the process!!!

The Compomotive wheels are really neat, and not really heavier than the ‘spiders’ that came off… Brand spanking R888’s are great too! The plan is for some Nitrons and a track based Geo in the new year!

Pagid 42’s will be fitted tomorrow!

Still cannot get my head around looking down at a speedo with only 4,500 miles on it either!!! GREAT value for money I think… basically a ‘new’ elise for a LOT less!

Have prov booked Silverstone on 18th March and then there is of course Anglesea!!!

Mulling over a few other ‘minor’ mods… but about to reach my ‘approved’ budget ceiling!!!

Bottom heavy? That’s you trying to get into a MOG seat, my portly amigo
