The roof is off on ' the Dark Side'

Nice looking and bargain wheels

Looks & sounds like a great car Pete, & very similar spec/colour etc to my previous 111R. You’ll enjoy the hardtop option any time of year & it’s a great looking car wether its fitted or not. I fitted the Lotus Sport Ohlins to mine & they were sublime, better in every respect to the standard set up & worth considering the extra ’s instead of Nitrons or similar (IMHO folks).

Standard wheels & tyres are handy for the winter weather though…

Cheers Tim,

Yep! That old debate again!!!

NTR’s plus a great Geo will (should) work wonders!!!

Handling wise, sraight ‘out the box’, I do note a lot more roll and understeer than my S1 Exige… but not at all surprised given this is standard at the mo!

Dont ever drive my car on wet roads… well not intentionally anyway!!! So happy with the R888’s!

Anyway, will be all sorted for TD’s by the time next spring turns up!

Well done Pete  and as a special treat we will let you post on here as an Exiger at heart …Talking about tickers I hope all goes well in Jan …see you at Anglesea,.

NTR’s with a one inch roll bar will do the job a treat!

Nice!!!

Low and no roll!!!

Like it… and the black wheels too!

Where did you get the ARB from?

I’ll wear the badges with Pride ‘Sir’!!!

Hope you car is running by then! If not you are always welcome to drive a topless one!!!

It’s a Hofmanns bar, but I think it’s the EP one

Hofmanns spec NTR’s as well

Thought that!!!

Is that EP bar the 1’’ one or the 7/8th’’ one???

Your car looks v v nice!

Well done Pete and ‘welcome back’ - look forward to seeing it next year.

I thought the CR box was standard on the 111S… or was that for S1 only?

Has the CR Box

check the box for B4BP not G6BP

I should think you need to of properly tested or owned NTR’s before you can really say that, not saying the LS Ohlins are not great but I have heard of quite a few problems with them being difficult to set up properly and also blowing dampers.
However I have only owned NTR’s and I believe the Ohlins are better on the road.

Boothy

Report…!

Well, bloody fantastic sunny day here in the West Country! Had to take the roof off   and go for a blast about the Mendip Hills!

The 111s is a great drive on the twisty bits! Lots of torque and the 30 - to the legal speed limit squirts between corners are just great! Excellent with the wind in the lack of hair!

Fitted an ITG in the morning… that was the excuse for the drive! Much nicer noise… cant really feel the extra 5bhp the ITG is meant to give!!! Must say that the single 52mm TB looks bloody small compared to the 4 42mm ones on the Exige!!! Considering it the basically the same head, I am surprised that it breaths so well, thought I am sure more in would give more out!

Anyway,
