Tax

Any ideas how the budget will have affected us Exige owners? Mine is a NA S2, cant find emission levels anywhere? Anyone got any ideas?

Found this that explains everything quite well!

Jonny

I think an NA S2 has a CO2 rating of 208.

So thats 300 please!

Yep 300 in 2009 and 550 in 2010…

N/A Exige is a band K (208 kgs)so

2008 210 current system
2009 300 New system
2010 310 New system

If you buy a N/A in 2009 then it’s 550 for first years Road Tax.

So, on that high note…

I checked my V5 last night and it also shows as 208g/km (mine is an S2-S) - A bit odd as it has 15% more peak output?

My tax is currently 112 for 6 months so are we really looking at 300 pa now - Robbing gets, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask!!!

What happens with pre 2001 cars?

what about cars with engine conversions?

OK, now Im upset

I thought the Exige S was 216g/km

I presume that you’ve notified DVLA (via V5) of engine change details? If not, I suggest that you do - your Ins Co will want the V5 in a worst case scenario

Would that be the case with say a Katana s/c modification too?

I reckon that a standard S1 VHPD will be close to zero emissions

Can’t comment about the DVLA requirements for Katana.

So Pesk, have you told the DVLA about your Honda SC? WHat does it now say on your V5? Serious question by the way, for once I am not trying to outwit you or take the piss. lol

Sean LOL

I’ve notified them about change of engine cc, engine number, & of course colour ie the relevent boxes in the “Changes to Current Vehicle” section of the V5.

Suggest you do the same, if you’re running it on the road (albeit occasionally).

Yeah I will. My engine cc is the same as standard, but I guess I should change the colour and the engine number. To be honest, I don’t even know if the engine has got a number!!!

Bl**dy Road Tax !! They are really taking the pi$$.

I have just been to the post office to get my new tax disc.

Was due on 1st March but car needed it’s first MOT also had some work done on the car at the same time and just got it back together with my MOT certificate.

Renewal notice says 205 so went down with all my docs and cash.

Lady at the post office says chancellor also put up the tax for this year retrospectively by 5. Sorry that will be 210 please.

Even though I have a document saying 205 and the tax period I am paying for started on 1st March I still have to pay.

A fiver is not the end of the world but it seems they will do anything to squeeze that last penny out of you !!

Rant over

Enjoy your afternoon. I will get that extra 5 worth at the weekend run down to the South Coast.

They’re gonna sting you on your new Navara wagon brother!

I thought the Navara was cheap on tax???

I think the road tax is going to be a bit of a whopper!
