Frank - the pissing match has to stop. Just because you don’t agree with something doesn’t mean misinformation is spread. If you are unable to post constructive and in a positive way, you should quit posting here period.
Misinformation it most certainly isn’t - though I wonder how qualified you are to comment or to challenge his/my 1st/2nd hand information on performance and design choices of a product you have never driven or even seen up close?
Quite frankly, I could care less what you (or anyone here) think is true or not - I posted this solely in good faith to spare a potential customer possible headaches and to pass on information that may be considered helpful, at the very least for a constructive discussion on the matter (which will see all of us, even you, benefit from it).
In the very least case is there a perfect solution to everything - deciding between what offers the best compromise for what we use the car is what’s interesting. If the above is a valid concern is up to the buyer to decide. When it comes down to deciding on a product, I take solid 1st/2nd realworld experiences over theoretical “homework”.
I can tell you from 1st hand experience, both on the road and on the track, Bemanis design choice doesn’t suffer from overheating engine more so than others - not even when the fans kick in. And I have all the required temp gauges to back that one up too. So much for spreading missinformation, ey? Let alone, why even bring them up again? My post wasn’t even intended for comparison. Good work, for taking it in that direction though. You really make these forums a much better place to be. :-/
The Komo-tech, ronin heatexchangers do let warm air into the crapy hvac system true, just leave it on rec, you only get road dirt anyway. The second gen ronin setup is using the two factory oil coolers as heatexchangers, mounting a rear oil cooler with good results…I feel that I’m qualified to speak on this topic due to the fact that I’ve had over 30 years of owning, building and working on some of the fastest road cars ever made…and have first hand knowlage of what I speak…When you come up with a tuned ECU that out performs the tune of Lotus’s GT3, I have, ask the guys at Lotus motor sports they know who I am, or build your own supercharger system come and talk to me…You take marketing Bull Shite and belive it to be fact and then spread the crap all over the place…The thread was about S ECU upgrades which can and are being done and it doesn’t matter what freakin country the car is in plain and simple…you don’t know shite from shinola when it comes to these cars…

… The Bemani does not get enough air flow at low speeds and once the cooling fans kick in directing the air up and out away from the “Bemani heatexchanger” and you are in hot water …information not misinformation…dude do your homework first…after all that’s the reason for these fourms…
Funny how your two posting speak of “muppets” and nothing more…is it strings that control your postings or do you have your hand shoved all the way up there ? You have no input on the topic…
This forum is a worse place for you being on it. I cannot understand why you have been tolerated this long. You were even warned several times about your posting style on Seloc and typically exiges has been a far friendlier place.
How do you know what I do or don’t know? I guarantee I have a fair bit more education than you do. Kindly start behaving with a modicum of dignity or go somewhere else. If you are ever planning on marketing anything in the UK, you will not be doing yourself any favours by the way you carry on.
You’re absoultly rigth I will talk with my financial adviser as soon as I make it back back to port after all a mind is a terible thing to waste it’s what you think you know rather than what you know that’s important in your case…because a personal attack is more important than knowing what the fuuk your talking about, oh oh oh and I am really on my fucckin on my yacht… no I really am…Ronin 61ft Rob Ladd design custom…so you know what about aftermarket “S” ECUs are all about do tell… you don’t know jack shite about anything but feel free to say nothing of importance on the subject…maybe I should get my high school deplomia…

Sadly, you just don’t get it. You have to resort to foul language etc. I have not criticised the information you have given, (though when you go on about how much power your car makes, you seem to gloss over the fact that internally your engine bears little resemblance to when it left the factory) but I have not particularly liked the way you put it across. I know I am not alone in thinking that. Since you have started posting on exiges, I have seen posts that would not even be tolerated on Seloc. Exiges has always been a far friendlier place, why are you unable to respect that?
I have no interest in all the other toys you might possess, they are even less relevant to this thread. As for personal attacks, stating that this thread should be consigned to the muppet show hardly represents a personal attack (unlike your post).
Ok Frank that is enough now thankyou, I have monitored this thread and kept out but I think I speak for everyone when I say that not only are boring us, but the insults you are throwing around have gone too far this time.
Guys, seeing as there is only 1 moderator on exiges.com (Mr Admin) and he doesn’t seem to be around, can I suggest we self moderate by not posting
in this thread anymore…
No matter how hard you try, you cannot argue with an idiot…
I do agree gav, 100%, but i find it a shame because behind all the foul language and bad attitude, i am actually very interested in the information and experience of tuning our cars that Frank has…
Im fairly sure the power that frank is claiming is achievable. There are loads of SCed 2zz on celica and MR2s in the states. They seem to be making good power in the region of 300bhp and are fairly reliable. the only problem with the lotus application is the ECU which Frank and Co seem to have resolved. SC and engine is not rocket science but you have to do your homework well especially on a car that has a heat dissipation issue due to the flat undertray.
Finally. Frank please try and refrain from attacking and posting foul language. It makes you come off like a child IMO. You seem quite knowledgable about the toyota motors and tuning so your input would be quite well recieved if you do not insult everyone on anything anyone is wrong about or you dont agree with.
I too have been following the thread with interest but there is really no need for the cp, the F*'s etc The arrogance is breathtaking.
I work with a lot of Americans in my business. Most decent educated people who always ask me “Why do people around the world hate us so much ?”
You just have to read this thread. USA is a great nation with so much to offer the world but a few arrogant individuals who think the world revolves around the USA spoil it for the rest !
I’m yet another person who’s been following this thread with interest combined with large dose of frustration.
Please Frank, keep it civil. Your childish abuse is entirely counter-productive and quite unwelcome here.
That be the case why don’t you and tarmack get back in line and continue your circle jerk…as you guys have nothing to offer to the topic and once again show others how much you don’t know…enjoy the tug…
Tarmac your input on the topic is what?..any insight as to total advance or retard under knock maybe A/F ratios under load…naah you’re just a salad tosser when it’s all said and done…
I also find Franks knowledge useful but his tact is something to be desired I’m not sure why he posts the way he does but it is no different on his own site so I suppose it is just the way he is

I want to buy an upgrade for my “S” that will give me more power, but there is nobody that appears to have done this in a way I would want to buy it in the UK. The Sector 111 offering does appear to be what I would like but there is no UK arm, so still not much I can do.
I hope there will soon be a UK supplier that uses Charlie’s mapping software because I will be at the front of the queue to have it installed
