Hi Johnny,
I bought one of those quick release hubs for the Exige, then found out from Phoenix that it is: very complicated to fit, (not DIY), not for road cars (maybe non legal), also means airbag will be disabled.
So I fitted it to Stratos instead
Now looking to buy “Snap On” hub instead as this is a DIY job.
Good luck & Merry Christmas
Dave
I’d looked at that QR hub. Thought it could still be a DIY install if you have the 4 hole to 6 hole adapter ring for the old boss. Thing that put me off though was that you don’t get the wiring for a horn push.
Wheel nice…hub avoid (iirc some welding required!)
Was also looking at a replacement wheel and quick release boss. Found this one on Demon Tweeks,
http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MSPORT&pcode=MOMQUICKRGP2R3F
There’s a bolt on type with wiring connections.
Also, what seems to be the prefered wheel size for the Exige 300mm or 330mm?
For me it’s 300 I like the std wheel size, anyway it’s tight enough in there already.
Didn’t think this would be very straight forward lol
Recommed the wheel as had same on my S1 and liked so much bought same for S2 but with flat bottom.
Yep like the looks of the wheel
So ref the hub bolt or weld? I have a chap who can do the welding, bolts just look easier all round.
Also…I guess the Sparco wheel would fit that Rally 6 Momo boss right?

Suggest you phone Russ Gibbons at Lotus Motorsport re hub
DaveP’s is the nicest wheel I’ve seen.
Dude…which one is it?

Tell him you contacted him via exiges.com please
Thanks Rob, will do.
Interested in this too as I’d like to improve on the OEM wheel and am not concerned with losing airbag.

Ask him how much for three if Damon wants in Seriously keep me informed mate if you make the call.
As far as this years concerned what with money being so tight and all wheel & hub, a fire extinguisher system and battery isolator kit seem like things I can do myself on a budget for less than 1.5k.
Will call him tomorrow, and let you know.
DaveP has my old S1. Fitted same sparco with flat bottom to my S in place of airbag one (same 08 dash as yours Damon). Just have airbag light showing

Hi Steve
So you got an S in the end? Did I miss a thread?
Did you go for a removal hib, or just the wheel?
