You can get that removable hub as a direct bolt fit, and with 'leccy connector, but you need to contact lifeline directly. Its not cheap 300quid I got it for my S1, and it is still waiting in Martin’s garage until I get a Honda. You have to order it directly from lifeline. It took them a while tho - about 4 weeks due to the fitting of the electrical parts. The weld on verson is cheaper but welding on the colum is not something I wanted to do/risk being bodged.
It’s overkill as the plug can do alot more than a horn, but personally I didn’t like the 2 pull nob one that is popular and I want the horn where it’s most instinctive - in the middle!
It’s not MOT compliant as there is no separate locking mechanism, but I think you’d have to be pretty damn unlucky for that to be noticed during MOT.
This was for my S1 mind - I don’t know if the S2 fixing is diff. Oh, P300 wheel also.

Hi Damon, yeah I went for S in black & just went for the normal fixed hub (was part of deal with the dealer). I think I have pics somewhere will look out mate.

Ok, i spoke to Russ today from Lotus Motorsport regarding the steering wheel and boss, top bloke by the way! He said that they are developing a new boss and wheel for their 211 race car and expecting the parts in any day. So he said they can supply a Momo wheel in leather or retrim in alcantara with a new quick release boss (bolt on type), no lock and with wiring, and fitted with a Lotus horn push. Price around �320, and looking to be avaliable mid January. Didn’t ask about group discount, but i’m sure if there’s enough interest we should be able to sort something out .

Nice one Graham As you say, Russ is a top bloke - really knows his stuff, & always more than willing to help with technical/practical matters relating to both S1 & S2 Exiges

Yea I know…Adrian (Ade) at Lotus Motorsport has been helping me with the plumb in extinguisher thing…Russ was in NZ. Ade is very helpful…I haven’t chased it as you were the lead…looking forward to it tho mate
Ok, spoke to Russ today and he is still waiting for the new design quick release boss kits to come in and will contact me as soon as they arrive, he seems to think it’ll be any day now. He was also happy to talk about a group discount for us. I’ll keep you posted.
