I’d like to see a video of that. On the lap we all went out on you would have flown past us both at that sort of time!
I had terrible cutting out on those laps behind you, and 3.04 is only a few seconds faster than yours which I kind of thought was expected given the power and brakes… to be honest I doubt there was much in it between all 3 cars 
Found an interesting post on Pistonheads that suggested a Standard R8 was doing 2.50 sec laps and CSLs were doing 2.54’s I was quite shocked, the one I did believe was the Juno’s doing 2.27s on endurance brakes and tyres the thing were really fast 
So did you get a video of 3:04 or is it a guesstimate??

I’ve got to try to find it again, it wasn’t a clear run as I was being over taken and vica vera so I need to find it on the tape and cut it over, I’ll try to find it tomorrow

Is the car fixed now? Was there much damage in there?
No not yet, I have a 2nd hand gearbox going in next week, that will keep me going for a short while (I hope) then I can get a stronger gearbox built with an LSD etc.
Still had no time to review the video again, too busy with work trying to keep a job like loads of us…

Never done Spa, so I am up for a 2010 trip.
For those who are planning to come in 2010, I can suggest you one day with the Belgium owners and we can do a trip (roadbook, lunch) all together on our beautiful roads.

Actually mate whilest falling behind when chasing you I had an issue with my mirror going over the curbs so opened the window to move it quick! That resulted in me smashing my thumb into the steering wheel which is why I came off track! I’ve had it in a splint last month, torn bloody ligaments
